    We can’t play with this 8 pairing. Akgun is tidy but not robust defensively and Casadei is just poor all round. Might be able to get away with swapping one in, but not both. The drop off from KDH and Wilf is too much.

    It’s pretty fresh in my mind right now to be honest, and I still don’t want to go back to it. It’s part of the game and always has been - you take the rough with the smooth.

    Dropped points on Enzo today. Putting Akgun and Casadei on as our central midfield pair is asking for trouble - they might as well not be there. Flukey goal for them and overall I didn’t think they were great, but they were at home and play with belief and persistence. We didn’t do enough to score a second and so were always vulnerable. Missed opportunity, but overall don’t feel too disappointed given our standing. On to the next one.

    That's all based on the presumption that he is doing it to send a message to the board. One alternative possibility is that he is rewarding players who train well and show professionalism during the week. FWIW, I really don't like seeing two keepers on the bench, but there is little evidence to suggest it is Enzo sending a message to the board about transfers.
