Glad to see us on it early on in the window, very different to what we've been used to. Also very solid players too, looking positive!

Cecily Wellesley-Smith has returned back to Arsenal. She didn't get a single appearance from memory, very little to say about it really. Hopefully means that we will be active in the transfer market and think we can do better.
-
I agree with everything he says here, but then it just makes it even the more strange that Las isn't getting any minutes. If we can't spend, then we HAVE to produce our own, Las isn't getting minutes, Kaczmar & Sherwood don't seem to be ready and Draper unfortunately seems like will be plagued with injuries, if she ever actually returns. It may be a case that these 4 are world beaters if we were able to use the loan market to get them some experience, but we're so low on numbers, it's not possible.

It's a big shame, considering I don't think anyone would have heard of her prior to us signing her, she's been quite solid. She has a mistake in her, but who in our squad doesn't.
-
Blimey, LCL have sacked their manager too... I know they've spent a lot of money, but they aren’t exactly in a bad position in the league considering they're newly promoted...
-
Rehanne Skinner has left West Ham, very good manager despite the season she's had so far. Wouldn't mind having her and Rick together again with her as no.1. I don’t think it will happen, but would be great.

Yes, the difference with the men is that the player pool is much larger and so is the pool of money (relatively).

It's all about scouting and picking up those with potential. We've got a good one with Liv McLoughlin, she's a great example, but the drawback with that is that they will probably be looking to move on as soon as a better club comes in for her. Another example being Mace. Another issue is that womens teams tend to mostly only ever offer 1 or 2 year contracts, meaning getting profit for players can be difficult as they will tend to see out their contract and then have the freedom to move where they want from then. And of course it's easier said than done to find a diamond in the rough.

Tottenham away in the FA Cup 4th round. Guess there's no cup runs this season.

Looking back at the highlights of the game yesterday, this had to be the lowest attendance of the season so far. It's kind of as expected as our attendance seems to depend on who we're playing and obviously LCL isn't a household name. But it continues to go further down hill.

Great win today, probably very fortunate, a draw was probably a fair result. Im pretty sure that sees us pretty much out of danger now, unless Liverpool have an absolute stormer in the 2nd half of the season, I don't believe they will pick up too many more points in than they have in the first half. That home game against West Ham in January will be huge. I don't expect it, but I hope we have a couple of additions through the door by then to add a bit of strength in depth.

That's shocking.

Im also thinking the same thing. Me and my daughter have had season tickets for the last 3 seasons now, but these early kick-offs mean I have to make the choice between her playing, or us going to watch. It's crazy how much of an impact it has had on attendances, not just for us, but everywhere. What's crazier is that they aren't/can't do anything about it because they are being dictated to by Sky.

The Las situation is one of the things the worries me the most. Arguably one of the top very young talents coming through the WSL, and can't buy proper game time. Whilst I don’t think the answer is to put her in as a wing back, as I don't think she's strong enough in defence for the WSL yet. But I really would love to see her take Shannon or Cain's place in playing out on the wing to give actual dynamism and excitement going forward. It's also one of the few things where I really disagree with and question Passmoor's management.
-
No, people are looking at us as an easy game. LCL next weekend will be an interesting one.
-
Was always going to be a tough game, we did well to hold it at 0-0 for so long. But we just got very sloppy and they turned it up a gear. I could have seen us keeping it 0-0 if we hadn't conceded that poor first goal. The lack of quality going forward is agonising though, Man City's defense wasn't convincing today, but we just didn't have the quality to make it count.

Littlejohn banned for 2 additional games, meaning 5 in total. Will surely be a big deal for Palace who aren't exactly flying in the WSL2, despite how we made them look. Passmoor has also mentioned the sickness bug that had been around the team recently, he's said that quite a few of those effected played in the Palace game, I hope it's not a way of making an excuse. He also said we're short on numbers which is why they played, despite only 3 players being injured currently. Would love for that to be an admission that we have a shoestring squad and hopefully that we will be getting some in during Jan.
-
It's mad, should definitely warrant a longer ban. She's definitely been practicing her jiu jitsu.
-
That isn't the point of the change, it's not to drop the deal they have with Sky, it's to influence different kick-off times, which is kind of mad that Sky gets to dictate that to the WSL.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2025/nov/24/wsl-concern-sky-sports-broadcast-slots-low-tv-audience Shame the concern here is viewers as opposed to attendance, but the root cause is the same. Hopefully this means the WSL are willing to fight for a change.
-
I have been very happy to give Passmoor the benefit of doubt, but this result does indeed point to more than just poor players. They are poor, but not that bad... He won't be sacked now, probably not until the end of the season, unless we are in real immediate danger of relegation.
-
Glad I didnt go an hour out of my way to go watch it... I considered it.
-
Does this not also mean that we're knocked out? Palace finish top and we're 2nd.
-
Forget what I said about it being a confidence booster.
-
Gone full-strength with the squad, probably the right decision. Hopefully a decent win will boost confidence... Assuming we can win decently. Looking at how Palace have been this season, it should be comfortable, they are currently quite low in the WSL2 table.
