I'm not sure Mavididi or Fatawu are EPL quality, I think the majority of Mavididi's goals wouldn't have gone in against a EPL defence/keeper. Also players that previously performed in the EPL have gotten older so it's hard to say if they are still good enough, despite looking good against Championship teams. For example Vestergaard looks great, but you haven't included him, who is to say Ricardo, Ndidi or Justin would be able to perform to the same level in the EPL? There were certainly many poor performances across the whole team during 22/23.

I was with them before I moved to Octopus, they absolutely sucked, the app never worked and the website rarely did either. My gas readings were broken for about 8 months and they just kept saying they were looking into it. Had the same issues as you with direct debit amounts and massive wait times on the phone. Just move if you can! And save money at the same time.

If it did (big if) then you’d just move back to a variable tariff which would undoubtedly have an energy cap or similar applied. I can’t see prices going nuts again though, they seem to be steadily going down.

There is no catch. Just depends if you want to pay loads more with EON/British Gas etc. I’ve saved well over a grand so far this year.

Yup, I don’t think you can move straight to Octopus smart tariffs, you have to go via Flexible.

They are all existing customers only, but just move to their "Flexible Octopus" which is their standard tariff and then as soon as you have moved (took me 2 days) then change to Agile/Tracker/Intelligent etc. You also get £50 credit to the account if you user a referral link to sign up, not sure if someone has already posted one, if not you can use mine https://share.octopus.energy/pearl-brook-236 There is literally no other choice in the UK, it's pay at least 28p/7p with everyone else or go on one of Octopus's smart tariffs.

It's pretty easy really as we have city boundaries. They are all county. Oadby and Wigston are in the "Oadby and Wigston" district and Blaby is in "Blaby District". Thurmaston is in "Charnwood District".

Why is it beyond you? You're literally using a computer right now. I never understand why people say they are older so can't use technology, unless you have some disability then just learn new things as they come out. I've grown up going from almost no tech (the phone box to make a call) to mobiles, internet, smart devices etc. there is nothing complex about tech, just read up on it and use it.

Octopus Tracker is way cheaper too - so today it's 4.34p/kWh for gas and 17.86p/kWh for electricity - standing charge is less too. Compare that to every other standard variable 6.89p/kWh for gas and 27.35p/kWh for electricity. If you can shift your usage to outside of 4pm - 7pm Agile is cheaper yet.
