  1. Bournemouth wouldn't pay close to what we'd demand. That's why I think he'll stay - he has a lot of promise but probably hasn't yet done enough for anybody to pay £35-40m for him, which is what it would take.
  2. Sport Witness is a bad enough source as it is. Sport Witness passing on gossip from Africa Foot is about as bad as it gets.
  3. Great read. Hopefully if things continue to go well for him he'll be able to save enough up to buy some hair conditioner.
  4. You'll get there, mate. Just believe in yourself and keep plugging away - one day soon you too will experience the joyous schadenfreude of being escorted out while everybody else sits there and suffers...
  5. He won’t be sacked if we lose 5-0 at Man City.
  6. Our best hope is that some club out there is blinded by the fact that he starts for Belgium and neglects to pay attention to how he plays for us, and puts in a decent offer for him. His book value will be around £6m in the summer so we may even be able to make a PSR profit on him.
  7. Who is going to look at his record here and offer him a ‘better job’? That’s very unlikely to happen and I don’t think he’ll quit , meaning the only way he’ll leave if is he’s sacked. And I’m far from convinced that will happen either.
  8. Because the EFL has zero grounds on which to impose one on us.
  9. We’re not getting a transfer embargo.
  10. We’re not getting a transfer embargo. However, if we can start getting agreements in place to start the summer sell-off now, I’m all for it.
  11. To save yourself the bother of typing this out after each of our remaining games, you could just copy and paste it.
  12. I actually saw a team I support score a goal! This is going to be my best weekend in months!!
  13. I'm also curious to know whether this is based on inside knowledge or educated guesswork...
  14. I was glad - very glad and relieved. Sure it was tinged with sadness, but I was very pleased overall.
  15. Even if the club is planning to make changes behind the scenes, there is no harm whatsoever in keeping the pressure up until we know exactly what they're planning to do. I thought the original phrasing of the banner was much better, but I'm firmly behind the idea of a protest at the state the club is in. The frustrating thing is that Enzo was telling the club a year ago that there needed to be major changes behind the scenes if we wanted to establish ourselves in the PL again. He was apparently shocked at how amateurish aspects of the club's operations were and had told them he'd only stay on if firm improvements were made. The club supposedly agreed to this and planned make those changes, but then Enzo left for Chelsea and all those plans left the building with him. It was a massive missed opportunity.
  16. I think his position is untenable and Top will have to act. Even a leadership as slow to react as ours will not be able to ignore the shambles of our recruitment last summer and the perilous situation it has left us in. There were also rumours a month or so ago that we'd started to talk to candidates for the DoF role and although I can't verify them, I'm inclined to believe them as it would be astonishing if we weren't looking for a new DoF. Rudkin won't be sacked but will be moved aside to another role within the KP group.
  17. King Power are highly unlikely to sell up. However I'll be very surprised if Rudkin remains in his current role beyond this season.
  18. On this issue, the fans can seem split into three broad groups: 1) Those who support both the protest and the ‘King Power Out!’ phrasing on the banner; 2) The loyalist KPFC facebookers who won’t accept any criticism of the owners and will never join in any kind of protest; and 3) Those who are angry at what’s happening at the club and support the idea of a protest, but think the ‘King Power Out!’ phrase is a missed opportunity that may end up reinforcing the status quo rather than challenging it. The discussion on here has mainly been between groups 1) and 3) and has been largely civil in nature. Group 2) are a different type of fan altogether - despite being very passive in their unquestioning loyalty to the club they can become quite nasty when confronted with opinions they don’t like. Thankfully there aren’t too many on here.
  19. He isn’t getting any personal abuse on here though, is he? There are different opinions as you’d expect on a message board, but I haven’t seen any abuse.
  20. True - you're never going to persuade the hardcore KPFC lot to join a protest. But there will be a large number of supporters who definitely aren't in that group and are very pissed off about what's happening at the club, but will be reluctant to support a message that feels more like a two-fingered gesture to the KP group rather than a clear articulation of what needs to change at the club. I suppose it comes down to what the ultimate aim is: to gain attention via shock value but risk a major backlash, or help to build a groundswell of support behind the protest and ultimately put more pressure on the club. Personally think the latter may prove more effective in the long run, although I understand the motivations of those favouring the former approach.
  21. That won’t happen. As others have pointed out, banner that says ‘King Power Out’ is going to be hugely divisive among the fans. The majority probably won’t like it and many will respond by by expressing their support for Top on social media and in letters to the club etc, thereby creating the impression (within the club at least) that the protest is just the act of a tiny minority. This will just strengthen King Power’s position rather than weaken it, which is a shame as there is a lot to be angry about. I get that the organisers have made a conscious choice to be bold and divisive and that is of course their prerogative. I just think it’s a missed opportunity to build a more powerful protest by expressing something that the majority can get behind.
  22. They're probably reluctant because there isn't anything new to say and they're sick of ranting about the same things every time. However, I'm with you - I'd love another 120min dose of rage from them. I've tried listening to a couple of the other fan podcasts but it always feels like being given methadone instead of heroin. They just don't quite do the job.
  23. I've said this before but it bears repeating: when Maresca left, the top two names on our shortlist were apparently Graham Potter and Steve Cooper - the former representing a clear continuity from Maresca, the latter a clear departure. Two completely different types of manager. Had Potter accepted the job, we'd have likely targeted the same or similar players to those we would have targeted had Enzo stayed; as Potter turned us down, however, we went in a completely different direction with Cooper. The subsequent signings of BDCR, Ayew and Skipp would almost certainly never have happened if Maresca had stayed or Potter had taken the job - they were signed for Cooper. Then a few months later Cooper was sacked, immediately rendering those signings pointless. The fact that the club was prepared to go into two completely different directions with managers (and by extension player transfers) is symptomatic of the mess we're in. That would not have happened at Brighton, Brentford, Fulham or Bournemouth - all clubs that have historically been smaller than us but are currently in a much better place because they have a clear sense of identity and a coherent approach to manager and player recruitment. We look like rank amateurs in comparison.
  24. What reason did they give for banning you?
