Football is still a good diversion even when it's so bad or perhaps that's a good thing well better than boring.

Wishing the best outcome for you.

Same here I had to wait nearly 12 months from finding I had prostate cancer before they started radiotherapy, too old for surgery. All a bit annoying as I've been having PSR tests for many many years as prostate is a family thing with two older brother got it, one not surviving. My fear is that the cancer was pressed against a lymph node the entry to my bones. I had to have extra radiotherapy 37 blasts plus I've been on hormone treatment for 19 months now which somewhat disguises any changes, I have to carry on with that for another 18 months at least so really don't know what's happening.

How can you be so bad?

Made In Leicester Rob Hubble The Swan & Rushes looking cosy. This is dated 1902. Now the Sapphire. -
If we can sell for circa £10 mill, if Coady at his age is worth £2 then £10 is not outrageous plus his wages it would probably gain us more than if we sell El K as we'll surely owe Genk a few £s
-
Playing some of the young'uns will be a refresh and I'd have thought the more we sell for total profit and reducing wages the greater the chance there is of signings. We certainly cant refresh without moving players on.
-
Anyone who isn't part of a longer term aim should go even if he was the team needs a massive refresh so do the fans who have become sick and bored of watching the same players making the same mistakes and that is accepting that new players will be making mistakes. Foxes need a refresh. Do it Top!

https://www.lcfc.com/pages/en/media-article/heather-payne-lcfc-women-leicester-city-new-signing-quotes-interview ‘Bringing My Experience’ – Payne On City Switch Heather Payne by Admin Our LCFC Women squad welcomed another summer recruit earlier this week with Republic of Ireland’s Heather Payne joining the Foxes on a two-year contract. Heather Payne signs having most recently featured in the WSL for Everton The new recruit is an experienced full-back with international caps to her name She can’t wait to get going in Leicester blue, now beginning preparations for the new season The 25-year-old defender arrives in Leicestershire with Barclays Women's Super League experience having spent the past two seasons playing regularly for Everton. Also an established player with the Republic of Ireland, she is determined to bring her passion and experience to the team as Amandine Miquel’s side gear up for an exciting 2025/26 campaign. Heather Payne "I'm Irish so I'll bring a distinctive kind of passion to the game,” the full-back outlined. “I've always been really hard working and keen to get forward as a defender. I want to provide more goals and assists for the team this season. “With Ireland I have over 50 caps and I’ve played consistently in the WSL for two years with Everton. Hopefully I can bring all of that experience to the team. I want to keep improving and do as best I can with the group." As City’s sustained progress continues, following our record points total last season, Payne hopes to help drive the Football Club forward in the forthcoming campaign. Heather Payne "This is a Club that is on the up,” she added. “For me personally, it's a place where I can develop, and I've heard really good things about the team itself and the staff. They were keen to have me here, which is always a really good bonus. “King Power Stadium is really nice and it's important for the women's team to play here. For us to have access to this, it's absolutely incredible. “Belvoir Drive is an outstanding facility and that's an added bonus, having access to everything you need as a player. It looks really good and I'm excited to get to work there.”

https://eflanalysis.com/transfers/west-brom-and-leicester-city-interested-in-first-class-talent-deemed-to-be-the-next-jay-jay-okocha/ West Brom and Leicester City interested in Dapo Afolayan Dapo Afolayan is the subject of interest from several Championship clubs, including West Brom and Leicester City. According to a report by Hayters TV, the clubs may be interested in bringing the English striker back to his native country from Germany, with the attacker currently playing for St. Pauli. Along with West Brom and Leicester City, other Championship clubs in the shape of Blackburn Rovers and Swansea City are hoping to acquire the attacker. All four sides have identified the English striker, who will help Blackburn in their need to sign an attacker who passes registration rules, as the man to help strengthen their attacking options. Dapo Afolayan playing for St. Pauli against Hamburger Photo by Stuart Franklin/Getty Images Afolayan has EFL experience, having previously lined up for Bolton Wanderers several seasons ago, scoring 21 goals and picking up nine assists from 101 appearances. He continued that form in Germany, as he has scored 16 goals across both the Bundesliga and the Bundesliga 2. READ MORE: Three Lewis Travis replacements Blackburn Rovers should pursue after worrying transfer update Afolayan’s comparison to Jay-Jay Okocha Jay-Jay Okocha is a cult hero from the time he spent at Bolton Wanderers in the 2000s, not just to fans of the club but to those who grew up watching the Premier League throughout those years. While at Bolton Wanderers, Afolayan’s manager Ian Evatt believed he had a ‘first-class’ attitude while playing in the EFL, after speaking to Bolton News. However, the attacker was also compared to Okocha while playing in the white of the Trotters across his 18 months in Greater Manchester. To be compared to him is an honour. “I don’t know about that (scoring 20 goals) – hopefully I can do it! There’s no better feeling, playing at home for Bolton in front of 15,000 fans, scoring and hearing my name sung.”

https://www.falkirkherald.co.uk/sport/football/falkirk-fc/leicester-city-henry-cartwright-family-feeling-falkirk-scottish-football-celtic-5270169 Falkirk FC Leicester City loanee Henry Cartwright on 'family feeling' Falkirk, Scottish football and Celtic trip Ben Kearney By Ben Kearney Sports Reporter Published 13th Aug 2025, 14:52 BST Leicester City loanee Henry Cartwright on family feel at Falkirk, his Scottish Premiership impressions and how Bairns combat Celtic. Henry Cartwright says he has been struck by the friendly feel to life at Falkirk as he settles in to life in Scotland having joined the Bairns on a season-long loan deal from Leicester City. The 20-year-old joined John McGlynn’s team last month having been a long-term target for the boss - who believes that the midfielder brings a different dimension to Falkirk’s options in the middle of the park. So far, the Englishman has played in all six of the Bairns’ competitive matches, but he’s only started once against Queen’s Park in the Premier Sports Cup. And Cartwright is hoping that his second start comes on Friday night in the came competition when Falkirk travel to Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic in the round of 16. Celtic game was first Falkirk impression “The 5-2 game last year at Celtic was the first Falkirk game I watched,” Cartwright revealed. “After my first chat with the gaffer (John McGlynn) that was the game that came up on YouTube first. I was straight on to see what they were all about. And I was impressed. Since joining, that’s the one thing I have noticed about the gaffer for sure - the respect he commands from everyone. He knows what he is doing and he knows what he is talking about. “I’ve loved it so far. It’s not been long so far but I have my little bungalow round the corner from the stadium and I am learning all the time. The fans are brilliant. The lads are all sound. I get on really well with Alfie (Agyeman). The gaffer and coaching team are great. I didn’t know too much about Falkirk - I had heard of them though! “What has struck me is how much of a club it is. That sounds silly but I mean it in like a wholesome way, the club feels like a big family. I think that is something quite normal in Scotland but certainly at Falkirk it feels very family-friendly and everyone knows everyone. The fans are really emotional but they back you and you don’t mind taking a bit from them if they are giving you so much.” Henry Cartwright darts past former Falkirk player Craig Sibbald during the Bairns' 2-2 draw with Dundee United Henry Cartwright darts past former Falkirk player Craig Sibbald during the Bairns' 2-2 draw with Dundee United | (Photo: Michael Gillen) The Bairns have drew 2-2 with European representatives Dundee United and lost 3-1 at former Championship foes Livingston so far this term. And reviewing the Premiership’s qualities - Cartwright reckons that the division is even tougher than he first expected it would be. “I knew that the standard would be good up here, from every team,” he said. “But I have been impressed. The thing that struck was was the physical aspect. And I don’t just mean like big guys. It is the running. The distances you need to cover is miles apart from what I used to playing Premier League 2. I’m fit and can get around the pitch but here it is intense all the day, you can’t stop or slow down for one minute. I try to control the game. I’m more of a defensive player than an attacking one. My main attribute is my fitness and my passing range. I think my intensity and press is good so that does help.” Cartwright will wait for his Falkirk chance Ahead of Friday’s trip to Celtic Park, Cartwright says he is happy to wait for his chance to start, even if that doesn’t come along tomorrow night. The midfielder has had limited time on the pitch - but he has impressed the Falkirk fans so far. He said: “I’ve just got to session by session, game by game and take it from there. I need to show what I can do when I do get on the pitch. I might get my chance against Celtic, it might be the next week, it might be six weeks, I just need to be ready for that moment. I don’t mind being patient. I never thought that I’d walk into the team, guys like Brad (Spencer) and Dylan (Tait) have been top players here for a while. “Celtic are a top side. We just need to do our thing and trust our processes. We will take the game to them when we can. We won’t change the game that we play. Last season the guys were in the league down and managed to compete for 70-odd minutes and gave them a real scare I think.” -

Joanne Vigor-Mungovin - Author Leicester On 13 August 1915, the murderer George Joseph Smith was executed for drowning his wives in a zinc bath. The case became known as the Brides in the Bath Murders. In 1898, George Joseph Smith moved to 23 Russell Square in Leicester, set up a baker's shop, and married local girl Caroline Beatrice Thornhill under the name George Oliver Love. It was his only legal marriage, and the following year he married another woman bigamously. George and Caroline moved to London, where Caroline worked as a maid for a number of employers, stealing from them for her husband. Thornhill was eventually caught in Worthing, Sussex, and sentenced to twelve months. On her release, she incriminated her husband, and he was imprisoned in January 1901 for two years. On his release, Thornhill fled to Canada (she later returned to Leicester and married). Smith then returned to his other wife, cleared out her savings, and left. In March 1915, George Joseph Smith was charged with the murders of three of his wives, Alice Burnham, Bessie Munday and Margaret Lofty. Russell Square still exists in Leicester, but is now swallowed by the St. Mathews Estate. -

They can do all that with a SL and still reap the benefits and riches, especially internationally of the PL. The PL is I believe the most watched league in the world there's no way they're giving that up. -
Everton is currently unwilling to meet Leicester's demands for Abdul Fatawu—the two clubs are very divided on valuation, and Everton is now considering other options. (RobDorsettSky)

davieG replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
The sick 6 have no intention of leaving the PL and never have had. They want the PL & the SL with the SL replacing UEFAs competitions so that they can get ALL the money from all European games instead of sharing it amongst the rest of Europe via UEFA. Unfortunately UEFA have no balls and are shit scared of these super clubs so keep pandering to them instead of calling their bluff. Then you have FIFA who are jealous of all the money the Euro comps make and are trying to undermine them and compete with them with more and more International games and inter-continental club competitions. Guess who suffers from this childish one upmanship domestic football with fewer games, disrupted seasons / competitions. -
Surely 15 years married to the Thais means we should all have got some Crystal gift or if we want to get modern and practical a watch each.

With a bit more luck and improved finishing, unsurprisingly like the the 1st team we could have drawn or even won.
