  1. The problem is lack of membership thus representation. Foxes Trust should consider their membership criteria and maybe make it £1 for a 5, 10 year or lifetime membership. Money in the bank doesn't help them in negotiations. If they need money for a particular action they can ask for donations from the increased membership.
  2. ...and one person is easy to ignore if they don't have the backing in numbers. We have circa 30k fans attending matches and many more who go when they can, with the FT only having 600 members there is no reason for the club to believe they represent the majority and therefore can justifiably, in there eyes ignore the FT. Lone voices carry no weight. Even todays action unless it produces momentum among the fans and in the media will be easy for them to ignore or at best pay lip service to it probably via the FAB.
  3. Because they only have 600 members if you want better communication you need membership in the 1000s
  4. It’s behind close doors because the previous FT board agreed to that and the club know that they don’t have a strong representation of the fans. I believe other clubs trusts have 5000 members we have managed to go from 300 to 600 the club have the trust by the balls and can squeeze them as much as they like. The only prospect of change is a massive increase in membership.
  5. Fans recently had a chance to make changes to the FT board at the special AGM but didn’t have sufficient new members to make the changes. If there isn’t enough members to change the FT board and its philosophy then you can’t moan if you’re not a member when they can’t get changes from the club.
  6. If you want the Foxes Trust to have more influence then they need to have greater membership. FT Reform are trying to change FT into a more challenging group. Instead of moaning about their lack of influence join the FT and give them the backing in numbers to make the changes fans would like to see.

  9. Story of Leicester For health's sake SWIM! That is the message on the side of this Laundry Van, run by the Baths Department of Leicester City Council. Date unknown, we think sometime in the late 1940s. The van took and collected laundry from the following swimming baths: Aylestone (Knighton Fields Rd), Belgrave (Cossington St), West Humberstone (Spence St) and Central (Vestry St). Did you swim at any of these baths? The only one not still around is Central that was on Vestry Street.
  10. Shame it's TNT as I can't imagine too many LCFC fans are paying for this unless they're big on Europe.

  12. History of Leicestershire in Images Kiran Parmar I visited the Central Library Bishop Street, Leicester, LE1 6AA today (13 February 2025) and came across a remarkable mural created by Chris Brookland (I hope I got the surname correct). This stunning artwork showcases many of Leicester’s famous faces. There are many more personalities who could be included, but what Chris has put together is truly extraordinary. The mural reflects an incredible amount of research, dedication, and artistic effort. I had the pleasure of meeting Chris and asked if I could take a photo of him with his masterpiece—he kindly obliged. If you get a chance, I highly recommend visiting and seeing it for yourself. Don’t forget to compliment Chris on his amazing work! There’s also a folder next to the mural where you can read about each of the individuals featured. A truly inspiring tribute to Leicester’s legacy!

Does anyone still have anything they bought from the arcade? 15. Man United linked with shock move for Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy Vardy, 38, sees his Leicester contract expire in June 2025. Right now, it isn’t known whether the Englishman will sign fresh terms, and it could depend on whether the Foxes suffer relegation. According to The Athletic, Premier League giants Manchester United could eye a shock move for the veteran striker alongside Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin. The report suggests that United could be tempted to look at the free agent market, and with both Vardy and Calvert-Lewin seeing their contracts expire, their names have been mentioned. Man United also interested in Leicester’s Mads Hermansen The Vardy link is certainly far-fetched and is unlikely to happen. On the other hand, Man United have also scouted Mads Hermansen in recent months. Hermansen has wowed Leicester fans with his performances this term before his injury, which he returned from in the 4-0 loss to Everton. The Danish international has statistically been one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League this term, catching the eye of many with his superb reflex saves and distribution.

  21. https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/leicester-city-potential-golden-generation-9941555 Leicester City have potential for golden generation as midfielder gets England call It's not just Jeremy Monga and Jake Evans coming through the ranks, with one of their team-mates from last season's Under-16 Premier League Cup involved with England Under-17s ByJordan Blackwell 09:59, 13 FEB 2025 Leicester City's Louis Page in action for England Under-17s against Belgium (Image: Neil Baynes - The FA/The FA via Getty Images) While all the focus is on Jeremy Monga and Jake Evans, another member of Leicester City’s Under-16 Premier League Cup winning side is making strides too. Central midfielder Louis Page, who played alongside Monga and Evans in the final against Manchester City last May, has been called up to England’s Under-17s. Page has been named in a 23-man squad for two fixtures against the Netherlands to be played in Portugal next week. While he made a couple of appearances at the level last November, this month’s games will be big opportunities for Page to continue to show he deserves to be in the squad ahead of some key fixtures in March. Next month, England face Israel, Slovenia, and Northern Ireland in a trio of matches that can earn them qualification to the summer’s European Championships and the Under-17 World Cup at the end of the year. Like Monga and Evans, Page has jumped up the ranks in City’s academy, despite only being 16 years of age. He’s now becoming a regular for the club’s Under-21s and has played in seven of their last eight fixtures in Premier League 2, scoring in a 5-1 thrashing of Norwich last time out. A midfield all-rounder, Page is keen to intercept and get stuck in, but can then move the ball into attack, carrying it well with his rangy stride and with the ability to pick out passes. That win over Norwich was the Under-21s’ first victory in six in Premier League 2 and moved them up to 15th, back into the play-off spots. The top 16 from the 26-team league will enter an end-of-season play-offs to decide the division’s champion. The format is in its second year with City missing out last season after finishing the regular campaign in 20th spot.
