  1. Probably set up by Trumps team to get more sympathy votes.

  3. Leicester Memories John Finch · 1h · The iconic image of Aylestone, Leicester that I grew up with. The Cattle Market with a view beyond of the 2 landmark cooling towers and I think the Gas chimney. Circa 1950's.
  4. I thought yesterday the were taking it in turn, there were plenty of times VK was positioned as the LCB with JJ going forward.
  5. We dared them to score and they did. What was he expecting we were crying out for someone in midfield to keep hold of the ball and control the game instead we pull everyone back and hoof the ball up to them so they can have another go.
  6. Oh-oh, yes, I'm the great defender defending that I'm not doing well My need is such, I defend too much I'm lonely, but no one can tell Oh-oh, yes, I'm the great defender Adrift in a world of my own I played the game but to my real shame You've left me to grieve all alone Too real is this feeling of make-believe Too real when I feel what my heart can't conceal (Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh) Yes, I'm the great defender Just laughin' and gay like a clown I seem to be what I'm not, you see I'm wearing my heart like a crown Pretending that you're still around Too real is this feeling of make-believe Too real when I feel what my heart can't conceal (Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh) Yes, I'm the great defender Just laughin' and gay like a clown I seem to be what I'm not, you see I'm wearing my heart like a crown Pretending that you're still around (Still around)
  7. Batten down the hatches, man the barricades, close ranks and stand your guard they’re coming at us. We’re the PL boys we know all about how to play.
  8. I'd imagine it's mainly down to increased costs although delaying it will only add to the cost. If you take the NI Casement Park development With every month that passed, the potential construction bill went up and up as the cost of building materials rose rapidly. All of a sudden, the original price tag of £77.5m would hardly pay for one of the grandstands. The UK government now estimates the potential cost will be more than £400m.
  9. Leicester Memories Ahmed Elgahani · 4h · One day back in Libya, I received a scholarship to pursue my master’s degree in the UK. At the time, I had no idea about Leicester or its universities. For six months, I sat at my computer, researching British universities, my field of study, and the admission requirements. By chance, I chose De Montfort University, not knowing it was in Leicester. I first learned about Leicester in 2015/16 through football, a sport I love deeply. I am a devoted A.C. Milan fan, but that season, we all cheered for Leicester City during their historic Premier League campaign. Every goal they scored, every player who played – it was a season for the ages. Our joy knew no bounds at their achievement. From that moment on, Leicester City became my second team, and I still support them to this day. When I booked my travel tickets, I discovered I would be heading to Leicester for a full year of study with my family. This was to be my first visit to the UK. After a long journey and a layover, we finally arrived in Manchester, where a driver was waiting to take us to Leicester. We stayed at the Holiday Inn for two weeks before finding a year-long rental at Merlin Wharf on Bath Lane, right beside the River Soar. What an incredible year it was! We had wonderful, kind neighbors, and Leicester was a city filled with warmth and hospitality. My academic journey was intense but fueled by passion. I was studying what I had loved since childhood, and I was driven by a clear goal. I graduated with an outstanding grade and top honors. All the late nights and hard work paid off. During my time in Leicester, I made friends from all around the world. I also had the opportunity to visit many cities, including London, Manchester, Liverpool, York, Leeds, Birmingham, Hinckley, Loughborough, Coventry, the Peak District, Gloucester, Nottingham, Cheltenham, Bath, Teddington, Churchdown, Stonehenge, Stoneywell, and Market Harborough. I attended several conferences across the UK in my field of mechanical and corrosion engineering, learning so much along the way from the incredible British people. Leicester, oh, Leicester… - City Center - Abbey Park - Bede Park - Its Universities - King Power Stadium - Royal Infirmary Hospital - Bradgate Park - Leicester Library - Richard III Visitor Center - St. Martin’s Square - Leicester Market - Jubilee Square - Haymarket - Highcross - Railway Station - London Road - Oadby - Nelson Mandela Park - Newarke Street - Curve Theatre ... and so much more. My family and I spent one of the best years of our lives in Leicester. We cherished every single moment. But then came the sad and tearful farewell. We left for Libya, hopeful that one day, we’ll return to visit Leicester and the UK, perhaps for more studies. May Leicester and its wonderful people remain safe and secure. Thank you all
  10. So fundamentally a money saving device because I'm sure they can trace who bought tickets if they wanted to. As if they haven't got enough money flowing into clubs at PL level as it is. Another route would be to stop paying scandalous transfer fees and wages and they'd have enough money to start treating fans with some consideration and respect.
  11. Well of course it makes them look better. 2024 https://pa.media/blogs/fact-check/fact-check-state-pension-rose-by-900-for-some-in-april/#:~:text=The April 2024 hike was,of £902.20 per year. Not all pensioners received the increase from £203.85 per week to £221.20 per week – a rise of £902.20 per year. That was only for those receiving the full new state pension, which is only available for those who reached the state pension age after April 6, 2016. Those who get the full old-style basic state pension will see a rise of £691.60 instead. In addition to this not everyone gets the full state pension.
  12. I may have missed them but do you produce your own minutes, if not you should tell the club if they're not published within 2 weeks say you'll produce your own. Better still the minutes could and maybe should be written alternatively by the club and the fan's groups.
  13. Why do they need to identify potential games. Surely all games should be open to general sale, if they don't reach general sale then they naturally wont be available, there's no need to predict and restrict games.
  14. I believe 2016 is the date. https://pa.media/blogs/fact-check/fact-check-state-pension-rose-by-900-for-some-in-april/#:~:text=The April 2024 hike was,of £902.20 per year. 15. Neither did the club until someone pointed out the lack of LCFC around the stadium. You'd think the club would want to make more like the home of LCFC rather than KPFC if they want to attract all the tourists queuing up to see whoever we are playing.
  16. Not all pensioners will get £460.
  17. Not for all pensioners.
  18. What Irish media said about Kasey McAteer’s display as Leicester City summer target sinks Ireland Wed 11 September 2024 10:00 Fraser Spinney Leicester City winger Kasey McAteer was boosted by a call-up to the Ireland senior team for the first time this international break. Having been eligible for England, Northern Ireland and Ireland, Kasey McAteer recently declared for Ireland and was rewarded with his first senior international call-up for the September fixtures. Leicester City will be pleased to see McAteer gain international recognition with Steve Cooper bringing the 22-year-old on late in all three Premier League games so far. It is a good sign for McAteer’s international prospects that he made new manager Heimir Hallgrímsson’s first squad and the Leicester winger made his debut off the bench in the 2-0 Nations League defeat to England at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday. He was again brought off the bench as Ireland lost by the same scoreline against Greece on Tuesday night but can hold his head high after making an impact. Irish media impressed by Leicester City’s Kasey McAteer in Greece cameo The defeat to Greece meant Ireland have won just two of their last 12 fixtures, with one of those victories coming against Gibraltar. Despite the poor state of the national team, McAteer showed that there is some hope for the future after replacing Jason Knight in the 74th-minute in Dublin on Tuesday night. Irish media were certainly left optimistic by McAteer’s showing, with both the Irish Mirror and sport outlet Balls rating his display a six out of ten despite playing just 16 minutes. Balls commented on McAteer’s performance, saying: “Did well to engineer Will Smallbone’s guilt-edged chance near the end. A rare bright spark for Ireland in the closing phases.” RTE went one better, scoring McAteer a seven, commenting: “Replaced Knight and took up station around the left wing as Ireland went in search of a much-needed equaliser. “Lovely reverse pass played Brady in to set up Smallbone but the goal didn’t follow. Then helped set up Robinson’s 84th-minute chance.”
  19. So unprofessional!
  20. Totally unacceptable, it's not as if there's anything controversial from the clubs perspective after all it's this is what we're doing so lump it.
  21. Looks like digital is going to be a condition of PL membership. Premier League rules on the subject would affect home and away fans.
  22. I know it's just the minutes and there were some decent questions asked by FCC members but it seems like they simple accepted any answers without pursuing, persuading a positive outcome.
  23. All lip service they didn't concede any ground in favour of the fans. They should apply to go on Strictly as they are very good at side stepping, quick step, twist, hustle. They might struggle a little as they seem to have a deaf ear.
