I doubt you'll get everyone standing for that at 1-0 as it's more of a celebratory chant for when you 5-0 up. Plus we were not looking too good and people are more concerned with what is happening on the pitch.
-
Maybe because we are worn down so many of this team have played a lot of games and it's seemingly getting worse what with the African and Asian tournaments, injuries and recalls.

When I started work I was living in "Digs" with a single parent family and then with a Polish family with my brother until we could afford to rent a flat on our own.

Would you support a "Super League"?
davieG replied to ozleicester's topic in General Football and Sport
Joining the Super League does not in their plans mean leaving the PL it's instead of the Champions League and separate from UEFA. So they can keep all the money generated. -
Presumably when fans started going to matches to fight the opposition fans and probably on Police instruction.

I don't know I'm not a kid anymore. How many on a global scale watched, wanted to or could have watched the MLS compared to today's global viewing numbers?

Certainly a business first and as you say community events do boost their profile it's just a shame they don't see treating the fans, other than a doughnut and a beer as a way of enhancing their profile but I guess they probably think winning things is enough. Although they messed that up last season.

They are a community club and run lots of events for them it's just that fans aren't considered part of the community they're customers.

I remember it but never quite got the words. Here's the original song -
Seems like a copy of the NASL the now defunct and first USA Soccer League and fore runner to MLS which was around in the late 60s early 70s when they had the like of Pelé, Franz Beckenbauer, Carlos Alberto, Giorgio Chinaglia, Johan Cruyff, Johan Neeskens, Gerd Müller, Bobby Moore, Eusébio (wiki) I’d imagine it’ll take as long as the USA have taken before it’s taken seriously

Then at least you should be able to buy online on the day by registering, paying and downloading your ticket to the game. They have the technology but not the will.
-
They seem to have lost a bit of confidence from the KO and took a while to see that they could still get something from this game.

if the membership scheme is for security purposes, which I doubt then it should just be a one off lifetime payment at most but preferably free. Do they still give out a bag of 'goodies' when you sign up, that seems pretty insulting to me.

You'd think with the financial situation at the club they'd be cheering every extra ticket sold, sure it'll be peanuts but these are likely to be future season ticket holders to fill the seats of all us old uns when we are watching from a heavenly Filbert Street.
