Just ignore Stoke and their gimpy fans. Everyone else in football does.

Saw that exchange! Love the theory about Ulloa's smile keeping us up...
-
Idiotic to call Ulloa a "flop". Just pick another one – what about Upson? Injured within days of signing him, only played a few games and his one contribution was that own goal that cost us two points at Everton.

The "contradicting yourself in the fist sentence" award of the season goes to... Burnley – Tony Scholes –@Clarets_Mad6/10 Expectations were realistic – we were hoping to stay out of the bottom three. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/may/23/premier-league-fans-verdict-arsenal-manchester-city

Quite. Look at Costa Rica. Full of belief, fight and just enough ability. They qualified from the group, we didn't.

What Richard Keys knows about football and the way it is run could be written on the back of a stamp.

Matt Mills. Remember when Ian Stringer said Mills is just the sort of character needed to help "carry out Sven's plans and deliver the team to the promised land".... Sadly for Ian, it's all on record... Key Man: Matt Mills. Solid centre half and a Leicester-born defender who turned down Premier League Wolves to join Sven's revolution. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/14386768

That just goes to show that each and every club is identical when it comes to their online "communities" - ie. forums. When it comes to assessing other teams, you get people who at least attempt a reasoned argument, based on observations, and then those who just look at league tables/results and make their minds up without seeing other clubs play.

Leicester City and VfL Bochum - Blue and White Friendship
HitchinFox replied to AndWhat?'s topic in Leicester City Forum
Fair play to you lads. Traveling, making friends and getting experiences that last a lifetime is wonderful – especially if it involves sport somehow. Don't let anyone tell you that it's somehow "cringeworthy". -
I don't usually go on the oppo's forums but that Oatcake place is hilarious. Stoke has a good team, although on evidence they rather over achieved last season. Still, doesn't take anything away from today's result. Having said that, as a club, I feel they're going nowhere and they certainly have some funny but clueless fans.
-
I'm loving the fact that both over at Oatcake and here the theme very much seems to be "what planet are those bellends on, they are massively underestimating us". Only means one thing - both sets of fans are optimistic and confident about the season ahead. Personally, I've a lot of respect for Stoke. They've earned their stay in the Premier League and I see the trip to Britannia as a really tough game. Nobody enjoys playing there - not even the top teams. Lets not forget that Stoke finished 9th last season - 17 points clear of relegation. They only lost three games at home - the best home record outside the top five. For me, getting anything at the likes of Stoke is what being back in the Premier League is all about for us. If we want to survive (and to establish ourselves) at this level, we need to be able to fight and hopefully even get something from teams that are in a similar position to us - hoping for a mid-table finish. Getting anything at Stoke would be a fantastic result. Make no mistake, Stoke away is as tough as it gets. Still, having said all that, I'm confident that we are capable of sneaking something there. I trust Nige and his tactics. He's got it pretty much right so far this season - including subs - and he now has a couple of extra cogs to consider in the mechanics of the team - Cambiasso, Simpson and Powell as brand new faces while Vardy, Drinky, and Albrighton now should be ready for 90 minutes if needed. Looking forward to it - this game could tell us much more about our chances this season than a draw against a pretty poor Arsenal team last week.

I've never rated Charlie Nicholas as a pundit, mainly as I don't think I've ever heard him say anything insightful. Nothing wrong with being a bit biased towards your old club, but what annoys me about him is how he comes across as being certain about things - only to be proven 100 per cent wrong.
-
Yes, my bad!! Should've been 21,000 - not 12,000.... In fact, just had a look at what it actually is (my 21,000 was an estimate) - and it was 22,850 last season. Like I said, we're massive...
-
Loving the fact that the average Stoke fan's maths seem to go something along the lines of: "Leicester have bigger attendances, but we are a two team city. We (Stoke) get 27,000. Port Vale 4,000. So not far off Leicester's 31,000." What? With that logic, we should start counting Tigers' gates in our figures. That's 12,000 on each game. We're massive.

Lloyd Dyer not even on the bench today. Punishment for having a go at the gaffer?
-
Whaaat? Right. I'm going to invest in a Khong Rang (ฆ้องราง) and get the owners convinced it's what we need to improve the atmosphere. I'll need at least two parking spaces and somebody to help me carry the bastard into the stands - any takers?
-
Personally, I think we should start singing last night's "he plays when he wants" chant for Logan in each game after the line up is announced - as it'll always be Kasper in goal.

Hi all, Joined a few years back but never really had time to contribute anything useful to say as hardly ever made it to games (other than away games in London on weekdays). Am a regular reader though so some of you regular posters I know something about . Now have weekends free and intend to go to games more often so might try and air my worthless nonsense here in hope of a reaction. That's the plan anyway. Over and out.
