  1. At least it's not Frank....
  2. Yes, it would but anyone coming across the East Midlands is exposed to an additional line of abuse.
  3. Have you forgotten the dogs abuse that Martin got in the early days? I was sat 2 rows behind the directors box during the infamous Sheff Utd match. He was only later accepted due to an upturn in results. Same with Wes except he was decent from day one. If he wasn't the same would've happened.
  4. But he doesn't carry the Notts F baggage.
  5. That's a good point but can be equally applied to other high profile ex-players that have been useless. We don't know how successful Enzo would've been plunged into a relegation fight and Kompany did take Burnley straight back down. It's certainly exciting and if we see an upturn in confidence, organisation, will to win in the team then the whole mood of the club/fans will snowball. I think we'll be up for this.
  6. Never ask for directions in Wales, you'll be washing spit out of your hair for a fortnight.
  7. From reading the Cov forum they reckon it's just a made up rumour from some dodgy Man Utd fan site with no credibility.
  8. Applied for the Coventry job Or was he in the deluded diagonal-walkers prayers?
  9. Wasn't he the one that claimed Freeman's Wharf was haunted? Or something to do with the electricity pylons ?
  10. To get those same senior players to buy-in to the next manager appointment getting it off to a positive start.
  11. If Top really did base his decision to sack Cooper after a meeting with senior players then you would expect him to likewise discuss the new incumbent with them before appointing.
  12. It just feels a bit OGS, Rooney, Lampard, Gerard type of appointment which will turn us in to a media circus. I'm sure that soccer fans worldwide will enjoy it as his name is bigger than the club. feeling uneasy if it is RVN.
  13. Allpartofthefun.
  14. Seems that plenty of punters have an idea... https://www.oddschecker.com/insight/football/20241126-ruud-van-nistelrooy-price-slashed-overnight-in-leicester-manager-odds-shake-up
  15. I get OGS vibes about RVN.
  16. Feelings this morning.... Initial reaction was that a safe pair of hands was vital, Moyes. If not, then Potter despite the obvious overhype and the feeling that somehow he's improved by being unemployed. Both not being considered for whatever reason if reports are accurate. Not keen on RVN, too risky at this moment in time. So, I'm now leaning towards Corderan and the more I read, the more I like. Get it done, Top.
  17. If I recall correctly, the compensation quoted for Corberan in the summer was over £4m which ruled him out due to PSR. I've now seen it reported elsewhere at around £2m. Might make the situation more palatable if true.
  18. Compo with PSR points deduction hanging over us. It's the Premier League suits that have caused this.
  19. I gave a shit but was looking for any reason to confirm my annoyance at the time of his appointment. It only got worse at various times until that night to forget. I would've got beyond it had he actually been better than useless.
  20. The Notts Forest connection was always going to be a problem if he didn't start well. Remember what Mad Martin got after the start he made. That horrific night listening to the Snotties singing his name brought it to a head.
  21. My mood is receding after yesterday's high.
  22. It's reported this isn't a knee jerk reaction to an abysmal defeat against a billion pound Chelsea. If it's true that consideration has been given to the management position for some time then no excuses for not having a replacement sounded out and ready to come in.
  23. They played no small part in Cooper's downfall that night. Bizarre way to treat their hero.
  24. Mine as well. Bert was still battering against the windows but somehow the storm clouds had been lifted. Feels like spring today.
  25. You can only hope that terminating these management contracts isn't going to cost an astronomical amount. Can't imagine that he was on the biggest salary given the circumstances. Certainly not Rodgers levels.
