According to the State Department the Somalian referee had links to terror organisations so I guess it makes sense why he wasn’t allowed in.
Amazing how that only suddenly came to light now, no?
Surely these checks get done well before the tournament, not just as the thing is about to start!

Burnley got relegated because they're crap, not because Everton swindled the finances.

Love how we are still trying to play 'pep ball' despite the fact our players are getting shitter and shitter as we go lower and lower down the leagues
And that League One is not the place for Pepball, even at its heyday.

Whatever we think of his style of play, I’m actually going to throw a bit of positivity out there on Martin’s recruitment.
Looking through his spells at MK Dons, Swansea and Southampton, quite a few of his signings have been quite encouraging, and you can clearly see the thought process behind them in alignment with his philosophy.
At MK Dons for example, Matt O’Reilly, Harry Darling and Scott Twine all came in under his leadership.
He’s signed a few experienced players during his managerial spells, but in terms of quite a few of his younger signings, dare I say it, I’m quite impressed.
My worry is that we've still got the same numpties in charge above Martin. And will we see him 'stifled' from getting his own players, or will we not have learnt from the past few seasons and end up paying more than we should (in wages at least) for players who won't give us much in return.
The whole direction needs ripping up. And while it's not Martin's fault how we've been run as a club in the past few seasons at the very least, I don't think he comes in and changes much in recruitment.

He's not some guaranteed promotion specialist. He's finished mid table or worse in all his jobs bar the Southampton promotion.
And do you mean if we go up twice?
Yeah wasn't clear. Probably get us up out of League One. And then struggle in Championship.

I wasn't suggesting the was any just that stuff like that would be automatically removed and probably the poster banned and no one would likely protest.
As for more detail you need to remember that this is a sideline for @Mark and his does have a full time job and a life outside of the forum so I'm sure time is important to him.
Of course, again I totally get that and appreciate that. I don't want to dismiss that.
I think if there's time to ban someone, it's only going to take a few seconds, or at most a minute or two to say why and what for.

Gonna go out on a limb here and say he probably will get us out of the league but there's a few caveats/things to note:
- it's not an appointment planning for the future
- it doesn't mean it's a good one
- it won't be pretty. Having spoken to Southampton and Rangers fans, it's not going to be an exciting way of going up
- it further emphasises the lack of direction and strategy and vision from the club to adapt. Possession football in his style isn't the way forward. It's not a novelty any more and too many sides know how to combat it.
- the club still clearly don't give a shit what fans think; every man and his dog know Martin is not a legitimately positive appointment.
- what do we do with him when we go up? He's not succeeded at this level and seems to be universally disliked because of how he plays his football, or due to his 'philosophy'.
I can't say I've paid much attention to his recruitment but he's nowhere near the first person I'd look to to be in charge of a rebuild at what is such a crucial time for our club.

Nope, I can't say I even saw it. But @Mark has his view of what is acceptable and it's not always just down to the usual racial, offensive stuff. It's often to stop threads drifting off in certain directions or becoming repetitive for example.
You have to remember it's his forum, he pays for it and it is primarily an LCFC forum everything else is a bonus that he tolerates and could probably do without considering he never posts in these threads that I can see.
Plus it's all subjective and naturally inconsistent because none of the mods are on it full time and even if they were aren't going to view every post.
You'll all just have to accept what it is.
This is my view of it and apologies to Mark if I've misrepresented him
I accept all of that, always have done. Had conversations about it and I've got no qualms with how the forum is managed generally, always appreciated it.
It'd be nice to know how long a ban is for and for what it was for
. I think that'd be fair at the very least?
You say 'usual racist offensive stuff'. I personally don't see that these days to such a level? And if those posts are getting deleted then again I've got no qualms with that. Or maybe they're quick to be deleted!
Just seemed a bit odd this time round as it came out of the blue and seems to be the case for a few other posters as well...

It was civil, and still is! What I don’t understand is there are certain posts being left and others deleted which just confuses the matter.
Would be really, really easy for whoever the admin is to explain why some posts are deleted and others are left on there. (Neither are offensive in any way, just good debate)
I totally get that people have different views but that's usually the best part of the forum. That we can be on here and 99% of the time have a decent discussion with debating views and still go about our day. Yes we have disagreements and perhaps polarising views but I don't think it gets personal these days, at least not to the extent it perhaps used to.

i'll give it 24 hour (or less) until i'm banned
I genuinely don't even remember posting for the last few days in that thread, and definitely not anything controversial or more controversial than what else is being put in there.
For the most part I thought things had been quite civil for a long time in that thread anyway!

'does a broken curfew amount to so much'
Erm, yes? Given you're the captain, you surely have to be setting the good/best examples?
Saw someone ask what's the point in having a 'head of security' there when curfew is going to be broken anyway. Granted we don't fully know the situation or reasons as to who ended up where, but it does raise the intrigue about the whole matter.

You don't. You just have to hope that the draft gives you ex-Leicester players. Took me about 20 go's.
My team was
Begovic, Davies, Keown, Toure, Johansson, Impey, Kishishev, Johnson (Man City), Wilcox, Cadamarteri, Cresswell.
Ah I've got you. I thought you were getting players constantly for Leicester in that specific season it spins and I was missing something

I'm liking Ian Wright calling this the 'World Cup of Chaos' given how teams and officials are being denied access to US and how fans are being exploited through extortionate prices.
