I remember being so proud of our fans when we sang 'we are staying up' up until we won the title in 2015. And the reaction to struggling the previous season - surely that helped us to stay up? We now have fans so entitled that they have no stomach for a fight; so arrogant that they slate the travelling fans for clapping the team off; and so mentally weak that they throw their teddies over losing a football game. We are probably going down... Grow up and live with it!

I know any kind of positivity us frowned upon but I think that was brave of Maddison to stand up and take that.

We will probably get to see the answer for this. My money is on his pace and experience bagging a hatfull.

Can you please not interrupt the histrionics with your reason and logic?

That went well I thought! Also, Vardy will tear up the Championship.

I think the problem with atmosphere is there are too many people cringing about what others are doing. If people enjoy singing a song, then let them do it. Likewise, clappers mean the old, young and the shy can join in and make some noise. If we need rid of something, it's the self-appointed support police.

I get a Pearsonesque vibe from the new manager. -

We are two points from safety with 24 to play for. What is wrong with people? Get behind the manager and the team and back us to stay up. That is all that matters between now and the end of the season. -

My point is about fans.

So let's get this right: Sack Rogers and all will be right in the world. It isn't, so... Sack the board and all will be right in the world.

I don't know about his tactical nous but he clearly is an inspirational leader - which might be enough to get a reaction from the players. And I meant Kasper.

What about Schmeichel?

I'm not defending our performances, I'm just pointing out the lack of moral fibre displayed by many fans.

This reminds me of playing over the park where everyone runs towards the ball! 😮 If he is our new manager, I will, as you say, give him a chance.

Eight games to go and people saying we are already down? People also turning on owners who have delivered the Premier League, the FA Cup and European football? A huge factor in the Great Escape and the league win was the togetherness and fighting spirit both on and off pitch. Too many people have become too comfortable finishing in the top 5 and have developed delusions of grandeur. Anyone with a realistic sense of the history of the club must have known we would have a period like this at some point. I doubt the bookies have any idea who our next manager is going to be - you can bet the owners are working flat-out on it, and previously they have worked quietly and professionally, without tipping their hand until the job is done. So get a grip!

Preki?

I know his football here was a bit basic, but the truth is a bit of up and at 'em is probably what will keep us up. I didn't watch what he did elsewhere closely enough to know whether he has more strings to his bow.

Brendan Rodgers appreciation thread
stourbridgefox replied to The whole world smiles's topic in Leicester City Forum
For a couple of seasons I really believed the league win was no fluke and we had broken the strangle hold of the same old clubs. Our recent fall from grace means he had to go, but anyone expecting Champion's League football like it is our right is as deluded as Forest fans still thinking they are thought of as European Champions. -
Nigel Pearson: Here and Now

There was a time when both Pearson and O'Neill were vilified by Leicester fans. Now, in hindsight, they are both legends. I wonder how we will judge Rodgers with the benefit of hindsight? -
Should Rodgers be sacked in the international break?
stourbridgefox replied to lcfcbluearmy's topic in Leicester City Forum
Tempted to vote no to piss off the haters. I have seen our fans turn on O'Neill, Pearson and now Rodgers: three of the most successful managers in our recent history. But - I can't see him turning it around. The dressing room can't be a pleasant or positive place to be currently and we need someone to remotivate the players. -
Nigel Pearson: Here and Now

A section of our fans would never accept him back due to their irrational hatred if him. It is similar to Rodgers: previous success is totally disregarded to maintain a biased and vitriolic narrative. It is the same mindset which turned on O'Neill after 10 games and could have robbed us of that great period. But, haters gunna hate.
