It's been one game. I don't rate him though.

He doesn't have the athleticism for it nevermind anything else

I've tried so hard 😭

I can see why people fear the worst, sure, it's human nature after the last 2 years especially, but it's thick at best to write the season off after one game given the circumstances. The slow start was almost guaranteed given the turnover in players, change in playstyle etc

They'll definitely both finish above us in the league then won't they

Agreed. Hopefully the fact that he's given Thomas and Reid the chance in the first game of the season and they've not really repaid his faith means that those more stylistically suited will play next game. We may look a totally different team with athleticism in both full back positions and a bit of presence up top with the ability to go in behind too.

In the same way that Pep was pragmatic at Man City and Enzo was pragmatic with us in the Championship? I don't think the style needs switching up an enormous amount. We need to move the ball quicker and our players to make braver decisions. We also need Luke Thomas and Bobby Reid to be dropped and to replace the centre backs with 2 players capable of playing in the manner that the manager wants us to. There's time left in the window and we've already done a lot of business both in and out, so there's no reason to assume that it won't be done. I understand that some of you don't like "tippy tappy" football, and that's fine. I didn't enjoy today either, but can be objective enough to understand how it could work effectively if we make the right changes.

You say "persist" after a single league game of football so I didn't bother reading the rest.

Agreed with everything you've said here.

Genuinely just the shittest twat and a proper useless little pussy. I'm not sure that he's actually good at anything on a football pitch. He's not athletic. He can't defend 1v1. He's weak. He's not good aerially. He's horrendously one footed. He takes way too long to make a decision. He's too negative with his choice of pass and often puts the receiver in a poor position. Please don't play him ever again.

I didn't, but I'm not a reactionary idiot that writes off the entire season based on one game of football. We've had an enormous turnover of players, a change of manager and are playing against a team on a high infront of the biggest club they've played a league game against in years, of course it's going to be a tough game. It's going to take at least 10 games for it to properly gel and we still don't have the right players in at centre back to play the way that the manager wants to play.

You're right up there 😂

Enough of the tippy tappy crap. Let's get Stevie Howard back and get it in the box otherwise we'll accomplish nothing this season 😂

BOOOOOOOOOOO! WE'RE GETTING RELEGATED, MARTIN IS A FRAUD, CULLEN IS SHIT AND WE'RE GOING BUST. GET IT FORWARD INTO THE BIG MAN. BOOOOOOOOOOO!

Deserved equaliser

The irony

Unfortunately so. It's the weird over reactionary, brain-dead takes from the same members repeatedly that is a highlight every weekend

This is genuinely one of the most embarrassing match threads I've ever witnessed 😂

We've got a pretty brain-dead fanbase, truth be told 😂

About as expected. New style, new players, team that's been relegated in back to back seasons against a team on a high from promotion at home with a full stadium. They started quickly as expected and we were lucky not to go behind. Mostly controlled the game since without looking overly dangerous. It'll take a little while for it all to gel and I don't think we'll start battering teams for a good couple of months. On a side note, Bristric and McFarlane have to get up to speed QUICKLY as both Reid and Thomas are absolutely pathetic. We also need a couple of new centre backs who are vastly more comfortable on the ball than Okoli and Souttar, which shouldn't be difficult to accomplish.

It's literally on Sky Sports Main Event 😂

"BlackFox" because of the large, black gaping void of nothingness inside of that skull? 😂

If Souttar is to leave, having him for this game is a bit of a bonus as Smyth is a big lad up top for them and I'm not sure Okoli has the minerals to deal with him aerially

Page is either off, or it's been deemed not right to have him in the squad. He's only a young lad and if we've rejected a bid for him as we want more money and he's wanting to go (understandably), then the right thing to do is to leave him out of the squad. No Mavididi or Faes in the squad is phenomenal. Hopefully once they're fully up to speed we see McFarlane and Bristric come into the starting lineup to replace Thomas and Reid.

No Mavididi, Faes or Page in the squad
