I mean there is still that chance you are predisposed to it killing you or giving you lifelong issues, if you are worried about your children not having a father why wouldn't you eliminate that risk as much as possible with a harmless booster? Same goes for the flu, that killed plenty of fit & well people every year pre-pandemic, which is why it was wise to have an annual flu jab. I can limit my chances of being hit by a bus by looking as I cross the road, I can limit my chances of developing certain cancers by not smoking, I can limit my chances of dying of certain diseases by taking the gifts modern science gives us such as vaccines.
-
It will always be around, most people will just get an annual booster with their flu jab as part of normal life. I'd say get it when you can.

He didn't have covid, his team will have just paid for a fake result in order to travel. It's why he didn't care.

Sorry I edited before you replied.

I saw plenty of fit people die these past 2 years, I know you don't like to read that but it's true. My patient today is an absolute legend and is getting better slowly, but I would imagine he will be breathless for the rest of his life now. He is super fit, regular gym goer, but sadly didn't think he needed a vaccine. I do agree with you though on the point of everyone needs to be healthy. This is an obesity plague. Never has it been more dangerous to be fat than it is now.

@Paninistickers I also wanted to say this yesterday, but didn't know if it was public knowledge: https://inews.co.uk/news/health/nhs-trust-distances-itself-from-anti-vax-doctor-who-charges-500-an-hour-at-private-breathlessness-clinic-1393143 An anti-vax doctor who runs a breathlessness clinic. You couldn't make this shit up.

I know I said I wasn't going to reply again, but your attitude grated me. I know of this guy in RL. He is standing in CCUb at Kings College, a covid area, and you'll note the only one in a surgical mask doing nothing to protect himself, other staff, nor the vulnerable patients he is responsible for. This is against trust policy and totally irresponsible, not to mention the unfounded "science" he had the audacity to spout on live television. But yeah I'm the idiot.
-
Grow up.
-
And as I've said to you before, I really don't care what you think of me. He's an idiot because he is using a position of authority to potentially cause further harm to his colleagues and patients. This will be my last post in this topic.
-
I've just reread your post, did you really just say "our Dr Steve James"? I'm out, this thread is infested with absolute ****ing lunatics. Have a nice life all.
-
It was obvious? They looked uncomfortable, you don't know what each individual was thinking. I wouldn't have said anything either with TV cameras in my face.
-
What the nurses by the nursing station put in an awkward situation? You think they're going to call out their idiot anti-vax consultant on live television? Look forward to this tosser being 'redeployed'.
-
Pretty sure they have better things to do. You have to understand the entire profession doesn't care anymore. Get it or don't, get sick or don't, do what you can to protect others or don't. We will do our jobs the same, until quitting the field anyway.

I mean 99.9% of that anaesthetist's colleague's would think he's an idiot but that counts for nothing?
-
Some ropey studies on self reported mild symptoms, yeah this is really worth putting yourself and others more at risk.
-
This is totally untrue. You really must stop being so totally and utterly ridiculous, I know I'm wasting my time but this is such a shame. Please think of your children if nothing else. In other news, my gigantic London trust is officially sacking anyone not vaccinated (1st dose) by Feb 3rd: · All medics; nursing and midwifery colleagues; allied health professionals; healthcare scientists; those providing additional clinical support; and non-clinical staff based within or in the immediate vicinity of clinical areas. · All clinical service support staff (such as colleagues in administrative roles based in outpatient departments and clinics). · All in-house estates and facilities colleagues, and on-site contracted staff. · All corporate services colleagues, except those who are exclusively based in off-site buildings and are never likely to go into clinical areas. · Bank and agency workers, volunteers, students, people on honorary contracts, volunteers, locums, and people employed by our contractors.

Oh I meant those that do it, it seems to be all they do on it. Pat themselves on the back, virtue signal and brown nose their superiors. There's this one bloke who is always popping up, he seems to think being an estate agent is the most glamorous job in the world and makes these videos every week talking about the keys to his success and how great his company is and how he lives for work bla bla bla shoot me. Well done you are very good at making the wealthy even wealthier. And yes thankyou, gonna be weird leaving the nhs to the private sector.

What's the generalisation I didn't say everyone on LI? Its not all bad no, I found the job I'm moving to on it.
-
I'm sure I've moaned about it before, but can I double down on how annoying people on Linked In are. It's all just fart sniffing, brown nosing and bragging.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/mayo-clinic-fires-700-unvaccinated-employees/ Starts here in the spring.

I felt it was a bit too personal.
-
And I don't want you to think my resentmentt of what the unvaccinated have done to me and my colleagues (totally avoidably) somehow means we treat them any differently, we don't of course we don't, but I'm so tired of seeing people suffer and die for no reason like this. If making their life so intolerable they get it is what it takes at this point, so be it.
