  1. Can't wait to see the ever obliging leicester thread in hot topics tomorrow
  2. Yeah - we have friends from there so have some recs but wondered if anyone else had any. Thanks will have a look
  3. Currently planning a trip next year - Florence and Tuscany, Bologna, a day in Rome to go to the Borghese as we couldn't last time, then down to Naples and the Amalfi coast. Any recommendations would be good, particularly where to stay in Naples/Bologna and best things to do/see round the Amalfi coast?
  4. Anyone know if the games on at the stag tonight? They won't pick up the phone and didn't play one a few weeks ago
  5. Anyone know if the Stag's Head is showing the game tonight? They didn't play one a few weeks ago and they won't pick up the phone (and it's long to get to)
  6. I literally don't get how anyone has this opinion. He tried too hard, not not hard enough. He was one of the least culpable of our team last year and was routinely our best player in a season where the manager was woeful and nearly every other player was shit.
  7. I met with him during my previous job. Was a nice bloke, loved Everton.
  8. As opposed to the completely balanced routine slagging off of a player who now plays for England and is a star player at the team that are top of the Premier League.
  9. Knew when you said this it was bollocks. Confirmed below. The Maddison slating continues.
  10. Oh my days that ill-advised joke genuinely informs people's economic/analysis to this day? Bizarre
  11. As an update bbc verify has now said there are more opinions of experts: Justin Bronk, senior research fellow at the UK-based Royal United Services Institute, agrees. While it is difficult to be sure at such an early stage, he says, the evidence looks like the explosion was caused by a failed rocket section hitting the car park and causing a fuel and propellant fire. Mr Gannon says it is not possible to determine whether the projectile struck its intended target from the footage he has seen. He adds that the flashes in the sky likely indicate the projectile was a rocket with an engine that overheated and stopped working. Valeria Scuto, lead Middle East analyst at Sibylline, a risk assessment company, notes that Israel has the capacity to carry out other forms of airstrike by drone, where they might use Hellfire missiles. These missiles generate a significant amount of heat but would not necessarily leave a large crater. But she says uncorroborated footage shows a pattern of fires at the hospital site that was not consistent with this explanation.
  12. Scott Parker is proven in the division to be fair
  13. I just want to pull this up as being the best comment on foxestalk I've ever seen. Think about it daily
  14. I've mentioned this earlier but I'd say they had a pro-Israel bias when they labelled people protesting against the shelling of Gaza as "supporting hamas" the other day. https://uk.news.yahoo.com/bbc-apology-palestine-protesters-uk-hamas-terrorists-082323645.html Just to confirm I'm playing devils advocate more than anything
  15. One of the things that makes me laugh/confused the most is how worked up people get about nationality for sports players. I genuinely don't get how it matters whether someone considers themselves to be Irish or British or from Gibraltor or whatever. Or whether you think nationality is based on where you were born or where your family are from etc. Good decision by Kasey imo
  16. Agreed. I think on balance the Israeli account makes sense but you would expect it to. I also found Rishi's (paraphrasing) 'we are working independently with our allies to work out what happened' to be a bit worrying when one of our allies is Israel who were the initial alleged perpetrator. I don't think it's reached the burden of proof required to say conclusively one way or the other.
  17. The article even says that a number of experts refused to give their opinion
  18. I think Maguire is using a situation about Henderson to make a point about himself. Its misguided at the very least though, Henderson is quite rightfully booed imo. Hypocrite of the highest order without the decency yo admit it.
  19. I find this comment a bit weird to be honest. As pointed out BBC has tried to report objectively and has slipped up in its reporting of other things (see my support of hamas comment). But I find "believe the worst of Israel" quite weird. Not like they've systematically oppressed a group of people for a large period of time, shown blatant disregard for Gazan civilians in this conflict and DID hit a UN school which is sheltering thousands of people literally 10 mins before news about this came hospital strike came out is it?
  20. Also the BBC reported people attending a rally in London "in support of Hamas" the other day for those who went to the solidarity rally.
  21. Was it contested at the time of reporting? Israeli media sources all seem to have accepted it was an Israeli weapon at the time (I've seen a few later revisions from Israeli journalists on twitter)
  22. I'm not convinced either way but I I we have different standards of 'pretty damning'. No actual evidence presented
  23. It's a UN-run school too. Wonder what would be said if it was Russia

Apparently you can - look on reddit. There's people who say you cant and people who say it works for them. I'll see if I can on mine. Might be platform dependent

Haha thirty ships, okay that may not work. Have you tried grav jumping out of combat (put all your ship points in shields, engine and grav jump) and jump to another system. I've never done it but apparently if you power up then set course to another system it let's you grave jump out.
