We have the stadium, the training facilities, an amazing fanbase, brilliant rich owners. Just need to do the business on the pitch. We do NOT belong in the Championship, as much as I kind of miss it.

Bit of an oxymoron there. It takes more than one year to establish yourself in the Premier League. Even if we do stay up and finish around 12th next season, it doesn't make us an established Premier League team. However, when the England World Cup bid was ongoing, a lot of people were saying that our stadium was designed to quickly, and relatively cheaply, expand to seat up to 55,000.

wattolcfc Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Pretty sure after reading several articles that we can only expand to 40-42,000 and unless we were a Champions League club, I think this would be more than enough.The foundations aren't strong enough (as it was built on the cheap) to handle another tier on the whole ground. Apparently though, we can only add a tier onto the East and South Stand, from what I recall.
