He broke the Pearson player mould, he was a maverick, if Cantona was a bottle of coke, Knocky was a can.

He can be a bit odd at times but aside from a couple of small, fairly irrelevant things I've always got on fine with him. Trying to deconstruct his persona isn't easy. There are probably some days when he's best avoided but that's the same for all of us. I think he's found the media glare especially bright this season but he says he's learned a lot from it. There aren't many in the media who don't like him.

That's interesting. Does make me wonder why he gets so much stick when he makes an off-beat comment. Everything seems to turn in to a controversy where Pearson's involved - surely if the media generally liked him, they wouldn't feel the need to exasperate the situation every time, out of respect? Although I suppose controversy sells... 

 

 

I'd love to know how he can be 'odd' - haha!? I hear he has a wicked sense of humour, but it sounds like you're getting at something else?
