kushiro Posted 28 August 2015 Posted 28 August 2015 Didn't Speedie do something similar? Walsh stuck out an arm when he knew he was beaten, but Speedie dived. Hard to call. This season already, we've had two pretty similar incidents - Wes's arm to block Fletcher and Kasper's arm to block the West Ham guy. You wait 23 years for a karma pay back and then two come along in eight days.
enmac Posted 28 August 2015 Posted 28 August 2015 I was there and I don't remember it.- there's a mind-block about that game. Only remember the 3rd goal by Keegan. Was it a fluke? If only we had drawn Newcastle! I thought it was 1974? Whatever- hope only leads to despair! Keegan got the 2nd goal. Here are the "highlights" of that game. Forgot how good Graham Cross was and Jon Sammels- compare the commentator- Coleman to Jonathan Pierce etc. Someone who actually knows about football! Vardy should watch every vid of Keegan available. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Pkath6jGtJo

The Doctor Posted 28 August 2015 Posted 28 August 2015 I can't remember who scored the goal but ...... We were 0-1 down at home to Leeds. Dennis Wise was their manager. When they went one nil up he turned to his directors who were by us and gave it large. Well over the top celebrations and gesturing to the crowd. We scored about two minutes later. Usually I am a reserved, sensible kind of fellow but in this instance, directly solely at Wise and the opposing directors I went absolutely chuffing mental!!! Hume 2006/07? Went 1-0 down to a penalty then equalised pretty much immediately? For ones I've been at: 1. Howard vs Leeds on Easter Monday 09 - there's just something so enjoyable about a goal from a corner, and that header to effectively win the title right in front of me in the last minute? Perfection. 2. Yuki Abe vs Ipswich 2011 - The only goal I've ever ended up on a different row at the end of the celebrations than I started on. Wasn't even that significant but I went ballistic for that one 3. Hignett vs Arsenal 2003 - Just sticks in my memory as something really special Low: Whoever got the fifth for Forest christmas 2009. Only time I've left a match early, just couldn't cope with the rest of it. Beattie for Southampton equalising on the opening day of the 2003/04 season, from 2-0 up to that just sunk me.
