What 3 goals..

If I had to limit to 3:

Howard V Leeds

Esteban v Man Utd

Knockaert V Forest (not quite the same as I was listening on the radio, but fvck me I've never been so happy)

For bad ones I guess the Deeney one was a bit of a blow but I've had worse. After the Leon Clarke Sheffield Wednesday goal to make it 3-1 I was totally inconsolable. Far less serious a situation, but one that I really struggled to get over (I mean, for the rest of the day, anyway) was when we lost a 2 goal lead v Coventry in 2010 at home.

Could go on for hours on this thread but they are the ones that stick out.

Steve Thompson v Swindon play off final

Steve Walsh v Derby play off final

Steve Claridge v Palace play off final

Steve Walsh v Arsenal 3-3 game

Steve Howard v Leeds 1-0

Andy King v Cardiff Play off semi

Knocky v Forest

Cambiasso v Man U

Vardy v West Brom

I honestly think Vardy against West Brom is the most mental I've ever gone. I know it's probably freshest in my mind but something about that goal made it like an out of body experience. I can't even describe it.

Just realised it was 3 but oh well. They're all special.

Can remember being absolutely gutted after Carter's goal at our place, the season we got relegated. Same applies to that defeat against Sheffield Wednesday.

There is only three lol

Tony James to keep us up the kop was heaving that day

Then it was twice in one game 3-0 down to Swindon in playoff final and we came back to 3-3 whe. That third goal went in I thought I was having a heart attack and then they get a pen to win I actually cried :(

Cambiasso v Utd

Knocky v Forest

Albrighton v Chelsea

Heskey v Boro

We've had a great few years thinking about it. Loads of my fave lcfc memories from the last 20 years in that time.

The most crushing has to be the deeney goal although I wasn't actually there I was reading live text updates which was even worse got "Penalty to Leicester!" and then it must have been about a 5 minute wait with no information and it came up with "goal for Watford!" it was crushing

Nuge v Watford playoffs first leg - everyone hugging each other singing WERE GOING TO WEMBERLEE for the rest of the game, stands shaking

Also Vardy v WBA last season was something special, was in tears after cos of exhileration

Worst goal conceded......  can't look beyond Troy Deeney sadly. From last season there were a fee but Tottenham's free kick winner at KP left me sick, didn't talk all the way home and them came and posted like mad in the Optimistic Bus to try and make it seem better

Away:

Vardy v West Brom

Jeff v Tottenham (CUP)

Knocky v Forest

King v Blackpool (barely stopped celebrating the first)

Jeff v Liverpool

Home:

DD v Watford

Steve Howard v Leeds

Cambiasso and Vardy v Man Utd

Mahrez v Spurs was up there to be honest as well.

cambiasso vs united

wood @ burnley

jeff @ anfield

probably my top 3.

worst is every goal we conceded from 04-08 when you just knew we'd lose.

slightly original shout to king vs plymouth 09. the 125 year anniversary game, full cos of cheap tickets, huge atmosphere, battered them all game and kingy bags a rebound to make it 1-0 in the last minute.

Posted

Cort v Chelsea is a good shout.

That'd be second for me behind king at Cardiff and ahead of clemence at forest in the same year as that Chelsea game. So many though.

These 3 are my highlights.

Claridge in the final second against Palace - Almost snapped my leg.

Dublin in the FA Cup at Charlton away.

Waslhy against Arsenal in the League 3-3 after that wonderful Bergkamp goal.

Lows:

The 4-3 at Wolves being 3 nil up at half time, was distraught after the game.

Tottenham carling cup final, just before the goal went in someone said there going to score right behind me 20 secs later game over, horrible train back after all the glorious wins at Wembley.

Seen us been relagated a few times as well which would obviously be in there.

Steve Howard

Lloyd Dyer (at Bolton)

Cambiasso (you know it's been a great season when we survived, by thrashing a fellow relegation rival and a having 'marquee' signing was a great decision)

In my lifetime being a City fan:

1: Vardy v Man Utd to make it 4-3.

2: Max Gradel free kick against MK Dons in 2009

3: Drinkwater v Watford, late goal but a wonder strike.

Posted

1. Steve Howard's goal vs Leeds in League One

2. Cambiasso's goal vs Man United

3. Stuck between Vardys goal at WBA or Schlupps goal at Anfield

Worst moment- Deeney in the play offs against us, or when Sheffield Wednesday made it 3-1 in the season we got relegated to League One and hundreds of season tickets were being thrown onto the pitch afterwards.

Posted

Thompson v Swindon

Izzet v Spurs

Walsh v Arsenal

Claridge v Palace

Hignett v Arsenal

Not read any of the thread yet so may be some the same as others...

Knockaert against Forest.

Gradel against MK Dons.

Howard against Leeds.

Worst was definitely Deeney.

Edited due to auto correct!

Dont get to many games so my list is going to be rather shit in all honesty compared to other people lists.

1) Schlupp v Spurs away in the cup

2) Wood v Palace away in the Championship

3) Vardy v QPR away in the Championship

Most disappointing was the Forest second to go 2-0 up at the KP on our promotion season. Was the only home game I was able to make that season, typical lol

Mine too. And the only away game I got to was the defeat at Charlton. A self-imposed exile might be worthwhile.

Highs....

1. Claridge at Wembley - 19 years and it is still deeply ingrained in my mind. Never seen half a stadium go as wild as that before. Can still distinctly remember an 11 year old me screaming 'Super Stevie Claridge' at the top of my lungs!

2. Knocky vs Forest - I was supervising a D of E expedition in the Peak District at the time, which basically entailed me standing in middle of nowhere waiting for my group while the other superviser was driving round trying to find them. I had no radio and very little signal, so I just had to keep stabbing the refresh button on my phone and waving it about in the air looking like a prat. Then when it refreshed, and we'd scored, like most people I just went fvcking mental in the middle of nowhere! Got weird looks from ramblers. Didn't care.

3. Cambiasso vs Man Utd - sat in the pub next to a glory hunting fan of mine who'd always been a big smug that he chose Man Utd for the last 20 years or so. In fairness to him he was saying we deserved more out of the game when they went 3-1 up, though I just felt it was inevitable.... Then Cambiasso smashed it in and the pub went absolutely mental.

4. Vardy vs Man Utd - unbelievable. Never seen anything like that in my life. Just complete and total pandemonium in the pub - pints flying everywhere, chairs falling over, entire tables knocked over. The noise was just immense. Everyone was laughing and cheering, some people were in tears. My mate was just sat there in stunned silence. I will never forget that 90 minutes as long as I live!

Lows.....

Watford. The most devastating 30 seconds ever.
