seenitall Posted 24 August 2015 Posted 24 August 2015 Claridge winner in League Cup, Walshie against Derby play off final, Claridge shin in play offs
Bamba's Babes Posted 24 August 2015 Posted 24 August 2015 Knockeart vs Forest - never experienced anything like it. --- Deeney vs Leicester - never experienced anything like it.
SystonFox Posted 24 August 2015 Posted 24 August 2015 Claridge vs Palace when I was 9 King in the playoffs at cardiff Knockaert vs Forest on the radio Lowest : deeney, sheff weds third at home in relegation 08, and oddly I felt sick after a 0-1 defeat at home to Norwich years ago on New Year's Eve, can't remember why but I was just gutted. Deflated. Maybe it summed up how shit we were
Brown Fox Posted 24 August 2015 Posted 24 August 2015 Can't believe nobody has said King's goal at Cardiff to make it 3-2. I've seen us at wembley and back in the o'neil days but I genuinely don't think I've ever lost my shit more than that goal. Absolutely incredible being there. Gallagher vs forest to make it 2-0 was quality too. Then it's a tie between Esteban or Vardy vs Man U. Can't decide.
knowf***all Posted 24 August 2015 Posted 24 August 2015 Live the most mental probably: Kasper/Chris wood last minute v Yeovil vardy v Man U Washy v arsenal Listening/watching : sky sports news in a pub in London with a palace fan, amongst others with le tissier shouting that knocky had scored v forest......so many scenarios riding on that last day that season Worst live: walshy's own goal v Newcastle Watching on TV deeney
I blame Wellens Posted 24 August 2015 Posted 24 August 2015 There is only three Tony James to keep us up the kop was heaving that day Then it was twice in one game 3-0 down to Swindon in playoff final and we came back to 3-3 whe. That third goal went in I thought I was having a heart attack and then they get a pen to win I actually cried Yes, yes and yes. If you weren't there you will never understand the noise when that third goal went in at Wembley. Nothing has, and will, ever compare.
SystonFox Posted 24 August 2015 Posted 24 August 2015 I just said King in the play offs before you posted this Can't believe nobody has said King's goal at Cardiff to make it 3-2.
MONreborn Posted 24 August 2015 Posted 24 August 2015 This just makes me think of how many good times we had under Nigel Pearson, and how crap we were without him. My top 3 would be: Scunthorpe away in league 1 Andy king Howard against Leeds in league 1 Bruno Berner forest 3-0 Screw it there are so many under pearson Dyer 5-3 vs Bolton Vardy vs mancs and West Bromwich Wood vs Everton and vs burnley
st albans fox Posted 24 August 2015 Posted 24 August 2015 chuck a couple out there ...... High: Weller against leatherhead Low: Crookes at villa park.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 24 August 2015 Posted 24 August 2015 Limiting this to 3 really just isn't fair. 1 - Vardy vs Man United 2 - Knockeart vs Watford 3 - Vardy vs West Brom The idea that Lloyd Dyer, Andy King and David Nugent don't feature here is just plain wrong though. The last minute Kasper Schmeichel penalty save vs Boro after I'd spent 6.5 hours driving through treacherous conditions from Hampshire to Leicester definitely deserves an honourable mention however!
seymour Posted 24 August 2015 Posted 24 August 2015 If limited to the matches I was actually there.... Steve Thompson v Swindon at Wembley Stan Collymore opener v Sunderland Lloyd Dyer 4th v Bolton All 4 Brighton goals or Swindon's penalty
Leeds Fox Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 1. Tony Cottee's winner at Old Trafford, in 97(?). I was 6, so I loved every goal we scored at that age. However, now it's nice to be able to tell people I saw my team, Leicester City beat one of the best English teams ever to play. 2. Vs Forest to get into the Playoffs. Met at our football club/local pub (in Leeds) to play on the Saturday, and decided to sack the football off to watch Soccer Saturday, and boy was I glad I did. I sat there, hungover from the Friday night and couldn't quite believe what was happening! I went mental in a quiet pub as people ate their pub grub or sat having a quiet Saturday afternoon pint. I don't think people understood I was a City fan, let alone what that goal meant for us! 3. Andy Kings thunderbolt half volley against Leeds at the King Power. Sat in our end with my old man a few Leeds fans who couldn't get away tickets, made it so much sweeter. Especially after on the Leeds coach on the way down, I was bigging up Kingy no end! It made the journey back that bit more bearable. Being a City fan in Leeds, where all of my mates are Dirty Leeds, a win is like keeping the peace. Losing isn't a nice feeling at all. I've never received as many texts in my life compared to when we were relegated to L1! 4. Sorry, I had to... the winner at Wembley vs Tranmere!!! I was about 10, and I got picked up and kissed by about 3 different blokes. Thinking back, it was strange, but WOW. Especially after Spurs the year before. 'We're rocking all over the World' after the final whistle. I'll never forget that day. Against... Watford, Deeney... I say no more! Any goal we concede away from home. Having the home crowd cheer is sickening!
Fox42 Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 1. Cambiasso vs Man United 2. Albrighton vs Chelsea 3. Wood vs Everton (For me, no other season scratched the surface compared to 14/15...) Live goal scored against: Wallace for Burnley last season. Honourable mention to... Maynard's 2nd for Bristol City 11/12: I found it embarrassing.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 1. Vardy vs West Brom, unreal 2. Kingy Vs West Ham, excelent celebrations in SK1 3. Waghorn Vs Bristol City, bit of a curve ball but I remember that being very good over in K1
kingcarr21 Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Only live games. Best Claridge Shin - The moment in my childhood that turned me from a part time football fan to Leicester City MAD. I dont think that moment will ever be topped. Cambiasso Vs Man UTD - I sat next to a Man U fan in the Kop. At 3-1 down i had just turned to him and said its just damage limitation now. Then the penalty and that magic moment. I was 2nd row so i got a great look of the joy on Cambiasso's face when he scored the equaliser. Schluup Vs Spurs - I had been to only 3 away games before this FA cup game last season (Blackpool away 3-3, Forest away 0-0 and Newcastle away 1-0 defeat). I hadnt tasted victory away from home (Wembley not included). The crowd went absolutely mental when Vorm let Schluups strike go in. I was hugging random people cheering. Last minute away goals are just incredible. I only wish i was at the West Brom game last season as that would defo be in my top 3 if Schluups goal is anything to go by. Only Live Games Worst. Nielsen - Spurs Worthington Cup Final - Watching Iversen run towards goal i just knew it was going to be a goal. Keller saved but up pops Nielsen with the rebound. Felt pig sick. I was 13 at the time and the journey home was just grim. Wallace - Leicester Vs Burnley 2014 - You just knew it was coming. As soon as they won the free kick in the last minute it was written on every Leicester fans face. Gutted as i reckon if we won that game we would never had gone on such a poor run. (Struggling to think off the top of my head) Eriksson - Leicester vs Spurs 2014/2015 - We had absolutely battered Spurs. The ball was just not going in for us. As soon as Eriksson scored the free kick which was poor goalkeeping from Hamer (i believe it was Hamer) you just knew it was one of those days. Im sure given a proper thought i could think of better examples but off the top of my head these are the ones i remember
kushiro Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 1) Heskey's winner at Coventry, December 1999 Emile took them apart that day. I remember Strachan (then Cov boss) saying some amazingly complimentary things about him. But I also remember the News Of The World headline the next day - 'Heskey Not Good Enough For England'. He was trying to break in to the team at the time. I thought it must have been Shearer's mates in Fleet Street trying to protect his England place. Funny, wasn't it, how when Emile did get into the team shortly after, Shearer decided to 'retire' from international football. Not so keen on Em keeping him on the bench. 2) Cottee's goal at White Hart Lane, April 1999 The week after the Worthington Cup Final defeat, we got some revenge. Cottee's goal was some special milestone, as I recall. Career 200 maybe? We won 2-0 that day. 3) Matt Elliott vs Villa at Filbert Street, header that took us to Wembley, 2000 That was such an amazing team performance. It was right at the height of the 'boring Leicester' stuff in the media. A low? Tommy Wright missing that chance v. Blackburn at Wembley 1992
LCCFox96 Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 For: Howard vs Leeds Vardy vs West Brom King vs West Ham Cambiasso vs United Knockaert vs Watford Knockaert vs Forest Against: Deeney in the play offs Wallace in the Burnley game Upson OG at Goodison last season Wes Thomas penalty when Nuge ran into his own box and committed the foul. Both the goals in that 2-0 defeat on the road at Barnsley - Jesus that was a bad day. Edit: a lot more than 3, but fook football does things to you!
Silverdaz Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 For: Vardys goal away at Chelsea 2015/16 season to win the league Against: Deeney in play offs and Alan Nielson (Spurs I think) in the cup final
Dan Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Knockaert at Forest I genuinely don't think will ever be topped. At home it's Cambiasso v Man Utd. After that went in I just knew we were going to go on and win. There needs to be an element of surprise about it IMO. Vardy at WBA is up there. King at Cardiff I just did not have any energy left after. Dejected.... Deeney v Watford didn't even feel real. When Forest equalised to make it 2-2 that time (think it was Boateng) I've never felt so angry/robbed at football. Waghorn's penalty miss at Cardiff still haunts me.
jonah Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Andy Peake v Liverpool - left Grobellar grasping thin air from about 25yrds best goal ive ever seen a Leicester player score Steve Claridge shinning it at Wembley Mark Bright against Everton 1st game of the season on his debut and on Gary Lineakers debut for Everton after we sold him. There,s a few bad uns but proberbly the one that sticks in the mind the most is the Blackburn penalty in the playoffs
EdinburghFox Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Someone should make a video compilation of all these!
Vindaloo FOX Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Heasky vs Boro Marshell vs Fullham in the 111th minute in Quarter final of the 2000 league cup. Knockaert vs Forest Cambiasso vs United Knockaert vs Watford : i was so happy for of him that day .
MikeyT Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 Vardy v Man United last season. Cambiasso v Man United last season Steve Howard v Leeds 2009.
SpacedX Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 Couldn't keep it to three: Obligatory or not, it had to be mentioned. Melrose's last minute header against Shrewsbury 1982 FA Cup fifth round. Ian Wilson scoring against Fulham away 1983. Mark Bright's winner against Everton - season opener 1985 and Lineker's first game for the toffees. Despite narrowly averting relegation, did the double over them that year. Play off final 1994 - Walshy's winner against Derby. Gary Parker scoring against Stoke at the Victoria ground in the second leg of the play off's 1996. The reaction to Izzet's goal at Vicarage Road to see us into the play off's that year was massive too. Claridge's winner against Boro, League Cup Final replay 1997 - the atmosphere in the Leppings Lane end that evening was unreal. Vardy's goal at the Hawthorns this year was so crucial I honestly think that game and that goal - more so than beating West Ham at home, was the definitive moment and turning point of the season. Possibly the most ecstatic City away celebration I've ever been in. Was anyone there when Mickey Whitlow scored at Old Trafford? That was good.
SpacedX Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 Andy Peake v Liverpool - left Grobellar grasping thin air from about 25yrds best goal ive ever seen a Leicester player score Steve Claridge shinning it at Wembley Mark Bright against Everton 1st game of the season on his debut and on Gary Lineakers debut for Everton after we sold him. There,s a few bad uns but proberbly the one that sticks in the mind the most is the Blackburn penalty in the playoffs Reading back, just noticed this post - we have a winner...this 100%. The celebration was proportional to the quality of the goal. Brilliant. Sorry to repeat the Mark Bright goal. I remember drinking in the City that evening - balmy summers night - and there was chanting and celebrations in the streets throughout. Great memories.
