Whatever Happened To Freedom Of Speech In This Country?

Whatever happened to the thread about the refugee flag..?  It disappeared and I would love to know why... escalated quickly I presume.. 

It was merged with the migrant thread because posters were no longer discussing the merits or means of a flag but just  debating the same points that were being raised in the migrant topic.

I asked this question recently with a justice of the peace and her eyes light up. Roughly she said:

A JP is/was a noble person from Richard 1st to protect the interests of the king. I was told that this also led to a ruling action of treason which could be interpreted through language written or spoken in the manner of threatening or offensive expression. And in fact we have never in law been allowed the freedom of speech and this is only an American constitutional right. Only Parliament have freedom of speech and we can be prosecuted for incitement or prejudice.

 

I didn't get all this right but that's what I can recall from her words. (please don't hang me legal disclaimer).

 

Anyway, got me thinking, careful what you say.
