How to get PM (messages)

Recommended Posts

Just found out about a useful foxestalk feature...

Situation

======

- No one is messaging you, or

- You would like to find an inbox full of messages (and this is not happening)

Solution

=====

You could always message yourself.

Just send a message selecting yourself as the addressee and... there you go!

You have a message in your inbox

Just tested and it works.

[Not that I need to apply this technique myself :P

I guess I am just bored!!!]

Question

======

Was this intended behaviour or just an oversight when setting up the system?!?! :whistle::D:P

Hmm if you really need to know:

I am doing research into online discussions... and system features, so I found that one a bit odd!

I didn't find it useful at all, actually, hence my question :P

Ahh so it was you printing off a topic earlier :unsure:

Are you trying to divert attention from the fact that you wanted to print off a whole topic earlier? :P:rolleyes::)

You definitely need to fid yourself a hobby. It was probably done on purpose, so lonely, bored people (such as you) could find that feature. Now, how did you come up with the idea to try messenging yourself??? :huh:

Nope :)

Gosh, I guess my type of humour simply escapes you!!! :P

And in addition, mine you :thumbup:

did you know if you sent an email to your self with a title like say "football results" you will receive it a lot quicker than if you put a header like assination etc :ph34r::ph34r: true

I am confused as to the whole premise of this thread in that sending oneself a Private Message is unwanted system behaviour.

I would like someone to discharge the assumption for me that it is unwanted system behaviour. Moreover I can see scenarios in which it might well be wanted system behaviour. ;):thumbup:
