Rushden fox Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 I think the best thing is not to look too far ahead and see what happens.Almost tempting to count the number of wins we need for safety but we need to remain more positive than that.We are now 200/1 to go down after being favourites 2 months ago but still 6 to 1 for top 4. After the start we have had would now be disappointed if we do not at least get a Europa league spot! Will it be failure if we finish 7th this year then 8th next year (when chelski get their act together?
ScouseFox Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 get to 40 points play the kids rest everyone good til next season so we can get to 40 more points i reckon
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 I would hope we would keep the same mentality that we have now heading into games, I wouldn't change that and just continue to do what were good at.
AKCJ Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 I would say we should go out and attack, play with flair and pace and really entertain. So no changes.
Thracian Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 Further adventures. There are so many imponderables but if I were a first teamer at the moment I'd be wondering how many more fabulous chapters of this story are ready to be written. There seems to be a rare bond within the team but our achievements seem built on stone rather than sand so I don't see why there should be any limits to our ambition. It seems obvious that people like Vardy, Mahrez, Kante and perhaps even Drinkwater and Schlupp might be courted by the cream of cracking clubs but I don't see why any of those players shouldn't instead resolve to continue playing a part in making real history by helping us become one of them...and quite quickly. Of course we'll need to strengthen further and I hope we choose carefully and bring in the sort of people who genuinely compliment our style, speed and spirit because recruitment mistakes can be no less harmful than matchday clangers. Even some of our top teams seem to have lost their soul of late, Chelsea and Manchester United coming mostly to mind now that Jurgen Klopp seems to be putting the attitude back into Liverpool's approach. But I don't see why Leicester City can't continue to fly the flag ever higher for unfettered excitement and enterprise. It's what I've wanted to see for so long - the gates of fear being thrown open and the prolonged ages of indifference being consigned to the stuff of nightmares. Yes, our success is still sinking in, but it's no illusion. We're such a thrilling club to watch right now that anomolies like the half-hearted hiccup of Hull seem so utterly out of character that I wouldn't be surprised if some of those responsible don't see first team action again for months. Yes, we're bound to lose occasionally. But to hardly have a shot and then to surrender our lead so tamely instead of driving our advantage home, suggests a side that was never properly focused on winning. But a winning mentality is only kind of attitude there's space for where we want to be and that's what we need to search out in future. More winners and more talented people desperate to live and work til they drop for the dream.
