He wouldn't play Heskey!!!

You can't play everyone and I would prefer Vardy and Cottee up front. It just my preference you can have Heskey if you want and to be honest now I have just had a reminder I would have Guppy in my team! lol

First name on the team sheet. Only players from current set up to definitely get in the side would be Vardy and Mahrez. Huth of last season would probably get in alongside Elliott.

Hesky was good, but I don't think he was prolific enough for a starting spot for me.

So you would leave Albrighton out and Kante out? How dare you! lol

33 goals in 124 Prem appearances (46 in 196 in all comps), never took or scored a pen in open play. He'll do for me.

Infact only Les Ferdinand with 150 prem goals has scored more in the Prem without ever registering a penalty (Hesky scored 110).

Which side is better, the England squad circa 96-99 or the current England squad? That might help determine how 'good' the Premier league currently is.

Come to think of it, everything was better then.  We had blur, oasis, pulp, the spice gir...

Err... I mean blur, oasis, pulp...

33 in 124 isn't great really. He wasn't a natural finisher, like Cottee was, but I'd have him on the bench! lol

Our current team is at a higher level with the exception of the defence. This team is really fluid and fast, but with a shaky defence. MON's teams were a bit dare I say it...long ball. They were a bit too physical as well. Huth pushes him luck a bit, but Walsh and Elliot make him look like a nun. Saying that, I would start Elliot over Morgan, Flowers over Kasper, Lennon for Drinky and Cottee to play alongside Vardy. I would start Kamark as well, but that's more because Simpson is below average.

Savage was a dirty cheat when he played and now he is just an annoying tit!

Long ball?  Blasphemer

The greatest strength of MoNs team was the engine room of Lennon and Izzet.  Aside from Keane/Scholes and Viera/Petit there was no better midfield partnership at that time.  Everything went through Neil Lennon, how could that be if we were long ball merchants?

I think it is easy to forget how good Heskey was for us considering the player he became after leaving.

He was never prolific as you say but he terrified defences.  Liverpool ruined him by turning him into a big lump target man for the benefit of Michael Owen.
