Thracian Posted 17 December 2015 Posted 17 December 2015 Jose's dad has been ill for most of this year. It must have had an affect on him. Perhaps goes some way towards explaining why he seems to have aged so much and looks so permanently morose. I don't suppose the prospect of court action over the Carneiro affair has helped either. Perhaps being out of work might help him in that!
Vardinio'sCat Posted 17 December 2015 Posted 17 December 2015 Well the lead should be chipped down, but not by that much - you're saying a point a game more than us they'll get from here on out to be able to finish ahead of us. Not happening, we're not finishing behind chelsea this year That's a fair call, and I can see that we should be fine, given the confidence in the team. I think the fact they aren't likely to catch us is one of the things that got him out. One thing I find it hard to get my head round is playing '6 pointers' against top teams, athough Chelsea aren't even that at the moment.
Carl the Llama Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 Great quote from big Sam: On being accused by Mourinho of playing 19th century football in 2014, when he managed West Ham: "When you play 19th century football and get a result, it keeps you in a job. If you play 21st century football and keep losing, you're out of a job."
