The Leicester curse with opposition managers - Mourinho gone

The righting was on the Wall from the minute he challenged that Girl who was only doing her job. She was well liked by the players but the wives where never going to stand by and let him get away with it. It was obvious on Saturday that some of them were just going through the motions. Watch them step it up now that he's gone.

We'll be sure to find out if that's the case on the final day of this season at Stamford Bridge of course!

It looked to me, on Monday, that the chelsea team were jittery at the back (no confidence) and snatching at chances up front (no confidence) and their passing when challenged was ragged. Jose normally adds value by setting his teams up to beat their opposition of the day - yet he couldn't add that value this season coz he didn't have 11 players who were functioning well.  Abramovic has made a big mistake... he needed to send a message to the players.  The players who were not pulling their weight should have been warned and then fined.  He is now in a position where the players are not sanctioned for their poor performance (I expect any new manager will try love...) .  The message is clear - if the players don't like the manger then just stop playing.   This was an opportunity for Chelsea to get behind their manger and send a message to the players - they flunked it... expect more free fall.. maybe not straight away... but at Chelsea, the lunatics have taken over the asylum

I know he wins stuff, but is he really that special? His teams play in such pragmatic boring way.

Mourihno is a class coach but a lot of his success comes from clubs with huge transfer kittys. For me a good manager should be someone who can take a club from near the bottom of the premier league to the top!

Or one who can take a club from league one to survival in the premiership whilst cutting costs at the club.

Damn I hadn't thought of that. When they beat us 3-1 last season they were outrageously good that 2nd half. If they can find the right man quick and get back to winning ways, I wouldn't rule out us vs them as 4th vs 5th last game of the season. Oh man I really hope it doesn't come down to that

I would. We're 20 points clear of them with 22 games to go. Even if our form collapses to just scraping survival (1ppg) from here on out, they'd still need to go on title winning form to catch us up by the end of the season.

We could have done with Jose hanging on for another couple of games, really, but at least we filled our boots before the ship was righted. I would be surprised if we still had 20 points on them by the end of the season, and they are still a threat to us, if they play like they did last season.

Not many teams are capable of sustained periods of title-winning form, but fortunately, we are one of them!

They don't deserve him, he can do better.

You're right he can and he will. He'll only go to a Club where he has complete control knowing he can build it from the ground up like he done here . I've a sneaky feeling he could end up at Villa for the start of next season.

Way way over the top reaction this is. Bad decision by Abramovich

Jose is in the top 3 managers of the world. The players are to blame just as much as him. Just cos they are having a slump they get rid of of one the best managers in the country.

Bad decision.

You people realise , that now Chelsea can chase down, Nigel Pearson... :)

It would be funny to be at the first training session when Nige head butts John Terry for being a cock! lol

Jose's dad has been ill for most of this year. It must have had an affect on him.

If we finish below Chelsea I'll be disappointed. If we get another 30 points which is not out of the question they'll need over 50 from 22 games to go above us and that is a seismic task.

I call it the Leicester effect:

First Gary Monk

Then Mourinho

Martinez is s******g him self.

Klopp and Pellegrino - watch out the foxes are coming.

Well the lead should be chipped down, but not by that much - you're saying a point a game more than us they'll get from here on out to be able to finish ahead of us. Not happening, we're not finishing behind chelsea this year

He lost the dressing room months ago.

The Carneiro saga was key IMO

Absolutely. Players wives apparently mobilised quite strongly against him.....

She'd been with the club for sometime and was respected by number of players, that's when things started to kick off behind the scenes i think.
