Foxes_Trust Posted 12 September 2005 Posted 12 September 2005 Not sure if anyone else from this forum is appearing tonight, but Ian Bason from the Trust will be in the studio. So if you want to ask question the Trust on anything, ring in
King Kyle lcfc Posted 12 September 2005 Posted 12 September 2005 I rang up the chant and rant line when i was pissed up after the game on saturday night. I hope i get on everyone else on it talks crap why cant my drunken crap be aired
Steven Posted 12 September 2005 Posted 12 September 2005 I missed it as well, first time this season.
cisono Posted 12 September 2005 Posted 12 September 2005 I guess I will have to wait for the online version?
Foxes_Trust Posted 12 September 2005 Author Posted 12 September 2005 Not a single caller was featured. Quite a bit of Ashes celebrations coverage & then Matt Jones (via phone). The rest was a discussion on the team & individuals between Martin Ballard & John Barber + Ian Bason from the Trust Here's the dilemma for the RL team - have the same callers on every week - or don't have any callers some weeks The solution - everybody posting on here & all other message boards who are normally just listeners ring & have their say

Would it be better held an hour later so people can get back from work etc.
cisono Posted 12 September 2005 Posted 12 September 2005 It is bizarre that nobody phones up. Would it be better held an hour later so people can get back from work etc. I thought that "Not a single caller was featured" meant they didn't put any in the programme, not that no one phoned in!?!?!
Steven Posted 12 September 2005 Posted 12 September 2005 I thought that "Not a single caller was featured" meant they didn't put any in the programme, not that no one phoned in!?!?! That is a valid distinction and may or may not be the case. At least it can be said that there were no phone calls that Radio Leicester were able to consider for broadcast.

I would make a call but my posts on the Leicester froum are quite boring so it wouldnt make the radio! however, some do make some interesting comments, like sack Levein so i think they should justify themselves on the radio!
Foxes_Trust Posted 12 September 2005 Author Posted 12 September 2005 I thought that "Not a single caller was featured" meant they didn't put any in the programme, not that no one phoned in!?!?! Correct

A new voice is not boring - its just as good hearing a number of voices of reason than hearing a sack Levein call, Andy from LE moaning because we haven't signed a £5m striker or like last season listening to Bernie's poems each week. Give it a go next week
Chrysalis Posted 13 September 2005 Posted 13 September 2005 I think it should be on after 7pm it is currently too early, and the callers is what makes it interesting its a mixture of views.
BMR Posted 13 September 2005 Posted 13 September 2005 I must say that obviously i cant listen live because i dont live in leicester but whenever i have emailed the show in the past it has always been read out, so they cant get that many emails either!
Anish Posted 13 September 2005 Posted 13 September 2005 Phone-in...what phone-in? Rename the show if you aren't gonna put any callers on.
cisono Posted 13 September 2005 Posted 13 September 2005 That is a valid distinction and may or may not be the case. At least it can be said that there were no phone calls that Radio Leicester were able to consider for broadcast. Yup... like all those drunken calls

You can by clicking this link whenever you want to listen to BBC Radio Leicester.
Chrysalis Posted 14 September 2005 Posted 14 September 2005 another thing they can do if they short on callers is spend more time with each caller so that person has longer to speak rather then been rushed off as if there is a queue of people waiting.
