HighPeakFox Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 Our 30 game form would suggest we are 60% likely to win, 30% likely to draw and 10% likely to lose. Rounded up that has us finishing with 80 points.....
Babylon Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 Means nothing, what was it last year after 30 games and what happened then?
HighPeakFox Posted 15 March 2016 Author Posted 15 March 2016 Means nothing, what was it last year after 30 games and what happened then? 'Means nothing' is a bold statement to make. I think most would agree that what happened last season was anomalous to say the least.
Finnaldo Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 Means nothing, what was it last year after 30 games and what happened then? Yep. This year has been strange all round and the run-in is known to be the most volatile period due to increasing desperation from the relegation battlers and a last ditch push for those chasing Europe. Saying that if we steady our heads again there isn't much be fear (other than West Ham and possibly Chelsea, if it comes down to the last game).
Fox 4 Life Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 I don't think it means much either, we are grinding out results but not playing anywhere near as well as we have done this season.
Freesolo Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 'Means nothing' is a bold statement to make. I think most would agree that what happened last season was anomalous to say the least. So what's to say something this season could happen and cause a anomaly in our form? One game at a time
HighPeakFox Posted 15 March 2016 Author Posted 15 March 2016 Ok guys, totally fair. Now, tell me what you think our final points total will actually be please.
Babylon Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 'Means nothing' is a bold statement to make. I think most would agree that what happened last season was anomalous to say the least. Same can be said this year. Past form is only shows just that, the past. It's not always an indicator of what's to come. All we need to know is we need to get 20 points.
HighPeakFox Posted 15 March 2016 Author Posted 15 March 2016 I guess the next thing to ponder is when form ceases to be considered anomalous.
Babylon Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 Ok guys, totally fair. Now, tell me what you think our final points total will actually be please. I have us getting 76 points and Spurs 75 Us: Palace 1 point Saints 3 points Sunderland 1 point West Ham 1 point Swansea 3 points Man U 0 points Everton 3 points Chelsea 1 point Spurs: Bournmouth 3 points Liverpool 0 points United 1 point Stoke 3 points West Brom 3 points Chelsea 1 point Saints 3 points Newcastle 3 points
jammie82uk Posted 15 March 2016 Posted 15 March 2016 i personally think 75 will be enough to win it but just out of interest i have looked up the points return in the reverse of the upcoming games listed below City: Crystal Palace (H) 3 points Southampton (A) 1 point Sunderland (H) 3 points West Ham (A) 3 points Swansea (A) 3 points Man U (H) 1 point Everton (A) 3 points Chelsea (H) 3 points Spurs: Bournemouth (A) 3 points Liverpool (H) 1 point Man U (A) 0 points Stoke (H) 1 point West Brom (A) 1 point Chelsea (H) 1 point Southampton 3 (A) points Newcastle (H) 0 points if results happened this way again (i know i know) we would actually finish 15 points ahead of Spurs which would be absolute craziness
Guest Mee-9 Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 Isn't the form table after 30 games just the league table?
Renart Posted 16 March 2016 Posted 16 March 2016 I have us getting 76 points and Spurs 75 Us: Palace 1 point Saints 3 points Sunderland 1 point West Ham 1 point Swansea 3 points Man U 0 points Everton 3 points Chelsea 1 point Spurs: Bournmouth 3 points Liverpool 0 points United 1 point Stoke 3 points West Brom 3 points Chelsea 1 point Saints 3 points Newcastle 3 points Wow. That final game of the season away at Chelsea would be...[fill in the blank below].
