Won't say anything else on the matter but thoughts, as always, are with her family. Hope they get justice now for losing her. Accused killer, Stephen Beadman, today pleaded guilty to raping and murdering 15-year-old Kayleigh Haywood. Kayleigh's body was found by a lake near Sence Valley Forest Park, Ibstock, on November 18, five days after she went missing from her home in Measham, Leicestershire. Beadman, 28, of George Avenue, Ibstock, and co-accused Luke Harlow, 27, pleaded not guilty to falsely imprisoning Kayleigh on November 13, the day she died. The Leicester Crown Court case was adjourned for them to jointly stand trial on that charge, on June 8. Kayleigh went missing on November 13 last year, after she was dropped off outside Ibstock community college. At Leicester Crown Court, Harlow, also of George Avenue, admitted meeting Kayleigh, a child under 16, following sexual grooming and two counts of sexually assaulting her in November. Beadman, wearing a black shirt, appeared via a live video link from HMP Woodhill, and held his head in his hands before looking up at the prison camera to plead guilty to the murder and rape charges. There was a restrained sigh from the public gallery, which was packed with Kayleigh's family and friends. Bespectacled Harlow, wearing a grey sweatshirt top, also appeared on same split screen in the courtroom at the same time, via a video link from HMP Birmingham. Miranda Moore QC, prosecuting, said the that the jury in the forthcoming false imprisonment trial, which is due to take place before a high court judge in Nottingham, would be told of Beadman's guilty pleas to the murder and rape. Remanding both men back into custody, Judge Nicholas Dean QC said: "You've pleaded guilty to serious allegations – grave allegations in your case Stephen Beadman. "However you have both pleaded not guilty to an allegation of false imprisonment." Had the misfortune of working with Beadman a few years back, a very strange character he was, hope he rots and receives more than his fair share of "prison justice" Rest well young Kayleigh x Luke used to be the guy i knew if ever wanted anything "party wise" he was my guy. me and him even fancied the same girl for a while (note...she was over 16!) my brother in law remembers going school with beadman, i think he's my age but i cant remember him luckily.
