LCFC FOX Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 Schlupp will be the back up striker if Leo or Okazaki get injured/subbed
ClaphamFox Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 The fact that the club insisted on a recall option for Kramaric (which according to news reports from the time we did) would imply that Ranieri was open to the idea of bringing him back if circumstances required it. And it was obvious that we were trying very hard to sign a new striker right up until deadline day, which also implies that the club did not plan/expect to fight the 2nd half of the campaign with three main strikers. I still don’t think a recall is likely, but the chances of it happening are possibly greater than people realise. At the very least the club must be considering it.
The Doctor Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 About how much Okazaki scored in Germany in his last 2 seasons.. came over here and scored 5. Because he's been playing a different role to in Germany; he plays a crucial but unseen role here - people have heard of the raumdeuter/space investigator; Shinji has a slightly different role - he's a space creator. http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2016/apr/17/shinji-okazaki-tireless-leicester-intelligence As Mahrez received the ball on the right, Okazaki glanced around to see Kanté storming forward and Vardy sprinting into the left-hand channel, so he made a clever decoy run towards the right, taking Mark Noble away from the defensive midfield zone, opening up space for Kanté to burst into, and helping to create the goal. It was textbook Okazaki: tactically intelligent, on the move, playing a supporting role Exactly what he's been doing all season, and it goes seriously unappreciated.

Where is all this Information coming from CF? No one takes a player on a half season loan if it has a recall option. Infact, I'm not sure an inter country loan can have a recall option at all. For krama to return, hoffenheim would have to agree to cancel his loan agreement and then we would have the anomoly of him being our player but not named in the 25 man squad. I suspect with the agreement of the other 19 PL teams we could overcome this but I also suspect a certain team wouldn't agree. He isn't coming back this season and I doubt you"ll see home again in a blue shirt
