Fox92 Posted 13 May 2016 Posted 13 May 2016 He's still got to rebuild. Same as Manchester City. We are one of few clubs that don't have too.
stevelcfc Posted 13 May 2016 Posted 13 May 2016 Us, Arsenal, Spurs and West Ham are the only ones who will look to strengthen rather than a total rebuild.
Les-TA-Jon Posted 13 May 2016 Posted 13 May 2016 Man U have slowly had any sense of a strategic approach eroded since the Glazers came in. Fergie did his best in the last few years to cling on, but even he seemed to not really have a plan. What's their plan? Just spunk £150m+ up the wall every summer on overrated players? It's weird, because on the one hand they seem to want immediate success and on the other hand, they want a return to a sustainable squad, bringing through a mix of youth and foreign talent. Of course, those two things aren't mutually exclusive, but if they get Mourinho in, all that'll happen is they'll spend £300m+, win some silverware and in 2-3 years be back to square one, with a bitter Mourinho and fanbase hating each other, and another rebuild project on their hands.
