Nationwider Posted 21 September 2005 Share Posted 21 September 2005 Thanks. Interesting. Quite a list of the rich and (mostly) not-so-famous. It's probably on the trust site, but I'll ask anyway. Does the Trust have a policy to keep increasing its holding?
Stuliasz Posted 21 September 2005 Share Posted 21 September 2005 Surely that makes the chairman a one Mr Pukka Pie? Time to step aside Mr McCahill!
lookwhaticando Posted 22 September 2005 Share Posted 22 September 2005 Surely that makes the chairman a one Mr Pukka Pie? Time to step aside Mr McCahill! He'd have to be Co-Chairman with HAMMOND GRANGE LTD since they have equal equity holdings in the club

Tim Davies - Chief Exec Jim MaCahill - Chairman The rest of the board consists of: Greg Clarke, James Johnson, Tony Lander, Tony Wheeler, Tim Storer. In addition - Martin Glenn (Walkers) & Malcolm Stewart-Smith (Teachers) complete the board line up. You said someone needed £500k to get a seat on the board. Theres only 2 there with that amount. Apart from the elected CE & chairman, how did the other 5 get on, assuming you named pukka pies & hammond grange in the list.

It's probably on the trust site, but I'll ask anyway. Does the Trust have a policy to keep increasing its holding? Yes, our latest investment of £21k was over this summer. Any money we raise through memberships or fund raising activities such as the raffle or 5 a side are accumulated & then we invest once we have a reasonable amount. If anyone reading would like to support this aim by joining the Trust or re-joining if your membership has lapsed, then you can do so on line here: http://www.foxestrust.com/join/joinwp.htm

No we said it is written into the articles of association that the Trust will automatically be allocated a board position once we have invested £500k. That is a clause uniquely written for the Foxes Trust & doesn't apply to other shareholders. The other Directors were elected by shareholders

Why do you have a clause uniquely written? Silly question, why is their nine board members, any specific reason, and whats the qualifications for being a board member? Silly question, why is their nine board members, any specific reason, and whats the qualifications for being a board member? Yes it actually gives us an advantage over all other shareholders, albeit it was a very high target that will take years to achieve. Once we have the 500k, it would take over 75% of shareholders to get us off theboard again, so its a good level of protection. However it doesn't stop us standing for election like any other shareholder & that's exactly what we did last October, but failed to get elected. Don't think the number of Directors is significant, can't have too many or it becomes unworkable. The first qualification is wanting to do it & bringing some skill to the board that other may not have

Do you know why theres specifically 9 board memebers?
