How will people react if Pearson genuinely flops at Derby?

As a Leicester fan I wouldn't care, his time at Leicester is over and whatever he does at Derby or anywhere doesn't change what he did here. I think it is testament to the club structure that his success happened, he came in with very forward thinking ideas for scouting and sports science and the club embraced it and gave him time to implement it and reap the rewards. Derby would do well to have the same approach. If I'm honest I have never missed him after either spell, I loved him as our manager for what he did for the club on and off the pitch but I never warmed to him as a person.

It is not the same as O'Neill whose success I followed at Celtic and Villa, not so much Sunderland and RoI, but I actively want MON to do well everywhere he goes (even as a pundit) because he was just brilliant for this club, he engaged with the fans in a way no manager had done before and has since.

Until Don Claudio obviously, who I will always have a soft spot for whatever happens in the next few seasons.

If a club the size of Derby gives Pearson a contract of 4 years to get them promoted, he will be in the premier league within that time period.

Just depends how patient they're.

I think I could do it in 4 years ...
