Blackpool Fox 69 Posted 16 August 2016 Posted 16 August 2016 Well that was an awesome way to start my day, most of them are absolutely deluded at best and stark raving bonkers at worst! Will be chuckling all day
ealingfox Posted 16 August 2016 Posted 16 August 2016 This is my personal fave... Pearson's record at this level is poor with Southampton, poor-average with Hull and then semi decent with Leicester... He finished 9th, 6th and then 1st... Compare that to McClaren's 3rd and 8th... I think there's an argument to say it's a similar record over the first 2 seasons of building What?
lgfualol Posted 16 August 2016 Posted 16 August 2016 He does really need a season, then I reckon he'd take them up comfortably. According to some fans on here after losing to Hull, Pearson won us the league last season, they should have faith.
RowlattsFox Posted 16 August 2016 Posted 16 August 2016 He's not made a single signing yet has he? Stuck with overrated bottle jobs he's inherited.

I think he's doing it the smart way, assessing the squad that he's got and getting rid of the deadwood as he goes along. I'm sure he believes that this Derby County team has potential. I mean, just look at the transfer fees and wages paid in recent months! As for the backlash from some fans - you are deluded. Creating a thread about moaning just for moaning's sake!

Ultimately I hope Pearson is given some time to build a team. Unfortunately, patience is not a fans virtue. You hope he's given time to build a team at Derby? I dont. I hope hes he's sacked forthwith.
Fox92 Posted 16 August 2016 Posted 16 August 2016 Two games in is ridiculous. Derby fans seem to have much higher expectations, they are in the same category as Arsenal and Newcastle. Pearson will turn them around.

Mel Morris started bleating this crap last season following the dismissal of Clement. Perhaps he thinks their brand of football is tactically analogous to candy crush saga?
RonnieTodger Posted 16 August 2016 Posted 16 August 2016 "one off game" Didn't we beat them 4-0, 4-1 and 4-1 in consecutive home games?

MPH Posted 16 August 2016 Posted 16 August 2016 Pearson doesnt buy a team he builds a team. If they are too deluded to see that then they dont deserve him.
Wymsey Posted 16 August 2016 Posted 16 August 2016 Should've gone elsewhere imo. Derby are not too off promotion prospect but a number of players seem to under-perform or have big egos. He should've waited longer incase Monk leaves a sleeping giant club in Leeds or even when Benitez gets sacked by Mike Ashley. Better-suited clubs.
Countryfox Posted 16 August 2016 Posted 16 August 2016 Nige will get it sorted, turn the club round and get them promoted ... cus thats what he does ... the b@stard !! My only hope is that tossknacker of an owner loses patience before that and boots him out .... I can't stand bleedin Direby !! .... (but obviously have a lot of time for Nige).
Manwell Pablo Posted 16 August 2016 Posted 16 August 2016 All other things aside that one off comment is amazing given we'd beat them 4-0 and 4-1 the in two seasons before
Vlad the Fox Posted 16 August 2016 Posted 16 August 2016 Beating derby was the Leicester way in that league.
southfox66 Posted 16 August 2016 Posted 16 August 2016 Derby fans need to learn to be patient, give it time, it will all come right in the last 10 games of the season , then you can sack him, appoint a failed international manager during the summer and next season you'll be champions
walkerleeds Posted 17 August 2016 Posted 17 August 2016 I thought the first post would get slated in that thread but it seems a fair few of them actively agree with him! Unbelievable, they really do not deserve Nigel.
Grewks Posted 18 August 2016 Posted 18 August 2016 If a club the size of Derby gives Pearson a contract of 4 years to get them promoted, he will be in the premier league within that time period. Just depends how patient they're.
Samilktray Posted 18 August 2016 Posted 18 August 2016 How will people react if Pearson genuinely flops at Derby?
Dan Posted 18 August 2016 Posted 18 August 2016 I'll still not forget the job he did here (no-one will convince me he was anything but a success) but it will add a real question mark to his ability without Walsh & Shakespeare.
