Boxing Day

With the Everton game being on Boxing Day,I wondered how anyone that normally uses public transport will be getting to the game? I live in Nuneaton and drive to the games but fancy a few beers before hand this year. There are no trains on Boxing Day and after contacting the bus operators was told they don't know yet if any buses will be running. Can anyone confirm if in previous years limited buses have been running?

Was there not talk, promises even from politicians to tackle boxing day train travel?

Nothing been done...

...Not like politicians to lie now is it?!

Yeah I could do with knowing this, will need to travel via public transport from Northampton, could do with knowing whether I need to sell my ticket or not.

One of the best days of the year for a game, coupled with the worst day for travel, driving or taxi is our only options and the taxi option tends to be a rip off on boxing day as well.

Can't imagine it happens in many other countries, although I stand to be proved wrong. No trains is just stupid, does no one at the rail companies just look and go, right if we run 2 trains before ko and 2 after, just on the routes needed for games within reason, we can make a shit load of money.

Locally, a few trains from Loughborough to Leicester, using the local stops, barrow, syston etc, and nationally, take the other year, we played spurs, a london to Leicester train, would have been printing money.
