Admittedly a lot of it is then spent on treatment due to abuse of these drugs etc and the rest is wasted. Actually, this post is going nowhere. Hopefully I can just fade it out a n d n o b o dy will n o ti ce.

Although I'm pretty ambivalent about certain drugs, if people wanna ruin their lives and waste their money then I'm not too concerned, as long as they don't hurt others nor cause a burden on the police or social services etc. Although that's most of the problem - the amount of taxpayers' money that is wasted because of junkies' rehabilitation and drug smugglers/trafficking.
