StanSP Posted 1 December 2017 Posted 1 December 2017 there was a topic which had Euro 2016 stadiums but couldn't find if it was a generic topic for stadiums or specific to that tournament. if the former, find and merge. Anyway, was looking at where games will be played next summer. Big fan of weird and wonderful structures, unique in their own way. Or traditional but modern looking. Obviously all the below will have undergone renovation ready for the summer. Either way, some blow my mind. Volgograd Arena Novgorod Stadium Kaliningrad Stadium Yekaterinburg Stadium (yes, seats outside the arena) Kazan Arena Luzhniki Stadium (Champions League Final 2008 venue) Spartak Stadium Rostov Arena St Petersburg Stadium Samara Arena (my favourite) Mordovia Arena Sochi Fisht Arena
sylofox Posted 1 December 2017 Posted 1 December 2017 Some cracking grounds but not somewhere I'll be going. Anyone making the trip must have a death wish.
FoxesDeb Posted 1 December 2017 Posted 1 December 2017 The one with the seats outside is messing with my head, I really really want to push them inside. Some of them do look great, but like @sylofox says you'd have to be mental to want to travel.
m4DD0gg Posted 1 December 2017 Posted 1 December 2017 Could be worse draw but i guess it will make it more embarrassing when gormless Southgate and his band of millionaires get knocked out in the group stage. Also anyone travelling to Russia for this needs there head looking at.
Brainy Posted 2 December 2017 Posted 2 December 2017 I've said this elsewhere but its remarkable that around about half of these stadiums either do or will belong to clubs outside the Russian top flight. I don't know what the plans are for the stadium with the seats outside the ground after the WC but I think its a very smart idea.
