Fa Level 1 Coaching

Has anybody done their Fa badges? Looking into doing it myself but it’s quite long hours over a short period of time.

 

I’m not currently with a club so I’ll have to fund it myself though I could use my contacts within local football to get it cheaper. Just wondered if anyone on here has experience in doing it.

Do it, then in 10 years time they'll be even more confusion as to who steve walsh actually is....The player....The scout.....The ref

I did it a couple of years ago. Was good fun, but took a lot of time! You do a bit of theory and then have to do a coaching drill which is the easy bit. But you're in a class of 20 which means most of the time you're running around being the pawns in someone else's drill! I could hardly get out of bed afterwards!
 

Good fun though, and well worth doing if you're planning on being involved in coaching at any level

I did it about 12 years ago. Well worth it, i learnt a lot. There's a lot more to coaching than just telling kids how to play football.

 

As @stripeyfox said though, on practical days you're running round for 8 hours. Very hard work.

Spot on, good fun, l was shattered too after a whole Weekend of drills in the Summer ! I did mine in Mkt Harborough 6 yrs ago. Really enjoyable and informative.
