Cat Burger Posted 6 September 2004 Posted 6 September 2004 http://www.teamtalk.com/teamtalk/News/Stor...,884539,00.html I like how forthright he is here, I think it's very true. How about you lot?
Mark Posted 6 September 2004 Posted 6 September 2004 I agree totally. Wright Phillips should of come on for him in the last 20 minutes, he's on form but Sven sticks with him despite his woeful performances. His passing against Austria was terrible. Instead Sven brought Carrager on to play defensive
Oli Posted 6 September 2004 Posted 6 September 2004 Sven picks him because he is well known, and plays for the biggest team in the world. Wright Phillips anyday i would have.
Scow Posted 6 September 2004 Posted 6 September 2004 Reputation over performance, always seems to be the case with Sven. Reminds me of another certain manager.....
Ash Posted 6 September 2004 Posted 6 September 2004 Sven has took us to TWO major competions & we havent won anything ! Sven OUT !.......Bruce in !

Mad Dog Posted 7 September 2004 Posted 7 September 2004 He was probably being sarcastic. Dropping Beckham is ****ing retarded, have a word with yourself. You know Beckham has been involved (either scored or assisted) over 80% of our goals (no shit) since he's been made captain. Yeah quick, drop him.
Mad Dog Posted 7 September 2004 Posted 7 September 2004 The best thing to do would to play Robinson Ferdinand Campbell Woodgate Wright-Phillips A.Cole Beckham Gerrard Lampard Defoe Rooney Clearly
Ric Flair Posted 7 September 2004 Posted 7 September 2004 The best thing to do would to play          Robinson     Ferdinand Campbell Woodgate Wright-Phillips          A.Cole      Beckham Gerrard Lampard         Defoe Rooney Clearly 17506[/snapback] That looks good, but i'd swap Woodgate with Terry. Terry is class in my opinion and much more reliable than Woodgate. Top teams and International teams don't like to play with wingbacks though or any formation other than 4-4-2 which is a shame and stupid. It would solve our crisis down the left handside and Wright-Phillips is buzzing off his tits at the minute.
Guest Daniel Posted 7 September 2004 Posted 7 September 2004 John Terry is one of the best defenders in the world, how you can replace him with Woodgate i will never know. Is it because Woodgate now plays for a big club? He's never proved anything, Terry has proved his class.

I also agree, Sven out and either Bruce or McClaren in.
