Could Vardy play in a front three for England?

It got me thinking ... which other current English forwards in the Prem would have been so alert and acted with such alacrity and cool clinicity (?) to that quickly-taken free kick? I honestly couldn't think of anyone.

By that logic, Steve Bruce isn't one of the best English defenders despite playing a grand total of 0 matches for NT....

 

Since Vardy became a full-time striker and no longer playing out of position as a winger like he did under Pearson, he has scored 52 EPL goals in 91 games.

Which is an average of 0.60 goal/game, an very impressive ratio imho.

Vardy is definitely an all-time great among English strikers when it's all said and done, despite being a late bloomer.
