Go back and read your original post - that is what I am responding to.You're slagging Southgate off for what you assume he will do before he's done it.

Yes of course your right I mean he's picked the best goalkeeper (pope) for these 2 friendlies....oh he's not.

He isn't the best keeper. Yes very good but he isn't the best of the 3

Ok, I'm out, you aren't capable of a sensible conversation, based on everything you keep saying.

Brilliant from Vardy, been lively up there. Sterling and lingard playing well as well, just the defence looks shaky

Defence is definitely missing Maguire's strength and cool head.

Some people will be gutted Vardy has scored. He’s pretty poor in general play, has been for a while but comes alive when it matters.

I sometimes wonder if people have the same game piped through to their brains as I do...

I don't think his movement is the same as it is for us.

So often there is a gap to run into to revive the ball and he doesn't go for it, stays central and in an area almost impossible to find him. If he made that run he could collect the ball up the pitch, give time for others to join in and as a team we get into better areas.

Having said that, he's come wide a bit more the last few minutes into those spaces.

I get why people would be frustrated with his off the ball stuff. He's having to conserve his energy more than he used to running about like a mad man, granted.

His finishing is without question though.

Maybe for England, but the comment suggested the OP thought that he's been poor for us for a while too.

Could have had a hat-trick tonight if England's attacking players could have actually found him when he made the space, really good from vardy tonight.

Think he's cemented himself as number two striker for England tonight

For godsake Southgat don’t take Rashford to Russia.

Who would you take as 3rd striker? Welbeck? Sturridge? Glenn Murray? Ian Ormondroyd?

When you say number two striker do you mean him and Gel boy up front or as a back up to him ?
