Report: West Ham weighing up summer swoop for Chelsea's Danny Drinkwater

According to a report from the Telegraph, West Ham are considering a surprise swoop for Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater in the summer, with the former Leicester man growing increasingly more frustrated with his lack of game-time at Stamford Bridge.

The 28-year-old joined the Blues from the Foxes in the summer of 2017, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £35 million, but he has really struggled to establish himself as a first team regular under Antonio Conte.

If he's up for sale I'll be pissed off if we don't go for him.

When he's playing regularly he's England's best central midfielder for me. A year with Kante and Fabregas will have done him no harm, regardless of the fact he's not played every week.

He really has looked bereft of confidence in the Chelsea team. Frightened to play.

Probably enjoying life in London (apart from the football !) ...   can't see him wanting to come back here ...    unless we offer him loadsa cash.

Probably could carry on living down their. Only an hour on the train, and didn’t he carry on living in Manchester when he was with us?
