Louise Posted 19 October 2005 Share Posted 19 October 2005 Wesolowski Gets The All-Clear James Wesolowski has begun to take his first tentative steps back to fitness this week. The Australian midfielder made his breakthrough to the City first team squad after an impressive early pre-season, but cruelly broke his leg in the friendly fixture against Celtic in July. But after an intensive period of treatment on the sidelines, Wesolowski has now cast aside his crutches and has the ball at his feet once again. Boss Craig Levein said: "James has got the all-clear from his specialist to step up his training, which is good news. He has been out jogging and doing a few bits and pieces with the ball. "We may well see him back on the pitch towards the end of December. Things have progressed pretty much as you would expect, but his age helps as well. He's a young boy and he will be fine." http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/...~729247,00.html I keep almost forgetting about Weso and thinking he'll be out for ages but now we know he'll probably be back this year - at end of December - it suddenly feels like we'll have to wait no time at all before we get to see him. If the boo boys have their way though, will we see Weso in the first team at all this season?

Hitesh Posted 19 October 2005 Share Posted 19 October 2005 good good....but just a word of caution though! I hope we dont rush him back and then he doesnt something to his leg again, or we expect too much from him! He hasnt played for a while so he will take time IMO, but lets hope its not too long! I was only commenting that I was looking forward to seeing him play, one of the things I've enjoyed under Levein is the youth players coming through and as I was away for the Celtic match I haven't seen Weso play yet. What knickers? <_< Where is Scowy when you need him? Didn't mean to have a go Allen, I think last night still had me a bit annoyed I'd agree that some of the young players are over-hyped. But people like Ric can't help it, they just get over-excited, and I'd much rather read a post hyping up a young player than some of the depressing ones on here at the moment

As i said before please prove me wrong Weso please

shen Posted 21 October 2005 Share Posted 21 October 2005 This is good news but Cl aint gonna drop Kisnorbo for him is? he he loves him He's been looking very much forward to Weso's return. Morris has only been mentioned once as an injury casualty this season, whereas CL has mentioned Weso each time. I can't remember the last player who was followed this closely during rehab at Leicester

Lazza Posted 21 October 2005 Share Posted 21 October 2005 Levein knows that young James is the lad to organise our midfield - even at such a young age. Levein can't wait until he gets him back on the paddock - he knows that this will be a very different team early in the new year. This lad has character and determination and will come back an even better player after this experience.
Lazza Posted 21 October 2005 Share Posted 21 October 2005 This says it all : Levein said: "It was fantastic when he came into the side. He brought a bit of pressure to the other players - here was this new kid on the block with fire in his belly - and they had to sit up and take notice. "We are desperate to get him back...
