Ward - 6 - Should have done better with their goal though got a hand to a couple of penalties.

Simpson - 6 - Classic Simpson. Mostly solid defensively. Deserves credit for staying professional when completely out of favour.

Soyuncu - 6 - Showed some quality and inexperience in equal measure. He’s learning!

Maguire - 6.5 - Classic Maguire performance.

Fuchs - 7 - Held Mahrez at bay, wise to his tricks and was having none of it.

Hamza - 8 - MOTM.

Iborra - 5 - Seemed surplus in a 3 man midfield, something we rarely do anyway.

Wilf - 6 - Better than in recent weeks. Still a long way from his best. 

Deidre - 5 - Meh. 

Gray - 7.5 - Our main attacking threat. Is being shown a lot of faith by Puel and needs to continue improving.

Iheanacho - 2 - First time I’ve seen him in the flesh for a while. I usually defend him but I can see why others are frustrated. He was lazy and kept making dreadful decisions.

 

Marc - 7 - Such a vital player for us. Brilliant goal.

Maddison - 6

Ricardo - 6

Pretty much how I saw it, except I gave Choudhury an 8. He showed up several of our 'established' players and hope he gets a run in the team.

 

I wonder what Puel's rating would have been if we'd actually won that match, which we were a few decent penalties from doing? Thought we actually did well against a strong team, and certainly second half deserved a decent result.
