Fastest in the league last weekend. Fuchs still looks decent

I really dislike the misrepresentation of pace in stats. It's like when they claimed Wasyl was the fastest player. No he isn't.

Love Fuchs, he's still solid back up and I'd like to think he's part of why Chilwell has improved. But let's not pretend he's any kind of pacy.

I referred to the difference between speed and acceleration, and for me it is seems obvious that he isn't quick on the turn (dodgy knees?), or over 10 or 20 yards, but he is not so bad once he gets going. I just thought that stat contradicted the widely expressed opinion that his legs are gone. My own inexpert opinion, is that it is actually his knees that are gone, not his legs. lol

I guess that sounds a bit pedantic, on reflection, but after the last few games I'm thinking Fuchs can still do decent job when he is called on.

He still have knees! His leg are still intact!! No one dare to ampute his legs!!!

Fuchs still rocks. It was just unfashionable to agree with this since the title win.

Like you say the more people that quote it, the more you buy into it.

This.

We love to build someone up and watch them fall down. Morgan is finished every time he has a bad day. It's hardly mentioned when he is man of the match.

You just wait until Vardy loses his pace. The scenes on here.

I have lost count of the times I have read, or been told, that Fuch's legs have gone, and I had pretty much bought into that narrative myself.

So how come he was the fastest recorded in the PL last weekend (according to the Mail)? Obviously there is a big difference between between top speed and acceleration (which we tend to mix together in talking about pace), so maybe that is why. Whatever the reason, we ought to give the man credit for the way he has stepped into the first 11 in great condition, and reminded us that he is still a good player.

As usual, life is more complicated than some on FT would have you believe. I just wish he had scored his peno, I bet he is absolutely gutted. :(

You read the daily mail?

I still prefer Fuchs to Chilwell. Chilwells crossing is horrendous

This factor seems to have been massively underplayed in terms of Chilwell. It’s become the accepted narrative that Chilwell has become this great player over the last two months, yet he can’t cross a ball and he's been at fault for countless goals conceded.

What seems to have gone unnoticed is that Puel’s tactics have been solely based on the wingbacks getting forward, seemingly to the exclusion of any anything else, and to the detriment of the team.

Fuchs has never had that luxury and while time catches up with us all he remains by far the best left back we have had at the club.

God no, I read it off Fuchs twitter feed.

I wouldn't wipe my arse on the Daily Mail, although now the awful Paul Dacre has gone it might be toning down the bile a little, as Brexit supporters may well have noticed.
