Alien Isolation

I've had this since release and still haven't finished it. 

 

Not because it's crap, but because it gives me the willies properly. 

 

A true masterpiece, this. The game that the film has been crying out for.

Very, very good game, even though it was released a while back now.

 

Honestly nearly couldn't finish

the reactor core section because facehuggers bloody terrify me in first-person view.

It's one of the best games on PS4 and certainly the best of the survival horror genre on PS4.  Resident Evil a close second.

 

It's best on hard.  I beat it on hard.  It was hard.

Having just replayed the Last Of Us Remastered I can confirm you are wrong.

 

Although for those interested with an Xbox I believe this is now on Gamepass

It doesn't count when it was remastered from PS3.  No doubt the second outing will be the best next year though.

Turned it off before the point where I know the alien arrives because the ****ing music and atmosphere have done me.

It's one of the best survival horror games I've played.  You playing it through on hard?  On that difficulty the alien is always so, so close.  Wish they'd make a sequel.

 

I hope Callisto Protocol and the Dead Space remake are as atmospheric.  Looking forward to those.

Yeah of course I'm on hard!

 

I'm sure I read there's a sequel on the way. The game itself is so well presented and the locale feels exactly part of the original alien story. 

 

It just scares me.

Just when you reach a save station, it's there in plain sight, but no, alien gets you first 

 

So frightening, infuriating and funny, all in one.
