Jamboray Posted 30 October 2005 Posted 30 October 2005 Hello all, thought I'd join up as Leicester are now my English team to support, due to the amount of ex jambo's now playing for you. It will be good to see how you rate some of the guys and hopefully they will assist in getting you up to the EPL.
SystonFox Posted 30 October 2005 Posted 30 October 2005 welcome HeartsFan! your now my scottish team of choice (didnt have one before) due to the many links between our clubs. your boys so far are doing us well, kisnorbo, hammill, maybury and de vries seem to be key figures in our team. de vries more than anyone as he is getting the goals but the others are doing well. maybury has slipped down the pecking order slightly due to his idiocy (sp?) against QPR at home. do you think you will win the SPL? and who do you want for your new manager?
Libertine Posted 30 October 2005 Posted 30 October 2005 Welcome mate. I hope you are less idiotic than some other Hearts fans that we've had on here.
lush Posted 30 October 2005 Posted 30 October 2005 So come on Hearts fan (welcome btw), tell us what you think of CL?
Jamboray Posted 30 October 2005 Author Posted 30 October 2005 Thanks for the welcome!!! What do I think of CL?: You wont see much attacking from him and he will rely on MDV to get the long ball and prob play 4-5-1. That seems to reflect on the amount of draws you get. He is a good manager and took the Hearts over when we were in all kinds of bother, but I can understand the frustration you guys feel as he is a very defensive minded manager, not great stuff to watch. I would have liked to have seen Ranieri in as manager, but he has priced himself out of the job, latest favorite is Keegan, dont know if I can handle the mullit. Sir Bobby is still fav for a directors job with Lothar Matthaus Brian Kerr and Ottmar Hitzfeld all being quoted as other poss managers, an announcement is expected tomorrow. Would like to think we still have a chance to win the league but we need to get someone in the dugout to keep the players focused, you could see as soon as Burley left we were not firing on all cylinders. Now we have the worry of loosing more of our players as a lot were staying cause of Burley.
Gené and Tonic Posted 30 October 2005 Posted 30 October 2005 I can't for the life of me see why managers insist on playing defensive. It's plain to see that it's boring, doesn't make you much of a popular figure, and generally, doesn't get you as good as results as you could get by attacking teams.
Jamboray Posted 30 October 2005 Author Posted 30 October 2005 Welcome mate. I hope you are less idiotic than some other Hearts fans that we've had on here. Thanks, yep I am less idiotic, some of our fans are total nutters..... I sit in section N at tynecastle it is full of them, but a great atmosphere

It's plain to see that it's boring, doesn't make you much of a popular figure, and generally, doesn't get you as good as results as you could get by atacking teams. I think it all stems from CL as a player. He was a great defender for Hearts and should I say.....Scotland Yes Hearts lost a lot of games in the last five minutes when CL was in charge.

Well defensive or not Levein's in some good company here cos some of the fans thought he'd done well to return with a 0-0 bore draw from Preston. You can recognise em on the way home cos they count the number of pavement cracks they pass as they're walking. Ironic really cos even Levein himself wasn't happy with 0-0 and he collects em like some folk collect gold sovereigns. Not sure whether he really wanted a win or whether he thought the referee should have played an extra half hour to test just how good our defence was and whether we could actually play out two full hours and STILL keep a clean sheet. Shouldn't be surprised if Babylon and some of the other fans are actually playing a replay as we speak just to drool over the highlights. Same again against Plymouth Craig. Let's make it six away games unbeaten. Another draw will be fine. Those telly people just don't appreciate us. .
SystonFox Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 i've never been to scotland but if i ever do i'd like to go to tynecastle to see the mighty hearts. you ever been to the WS or Filbo Jamboray?
Michael Doyle Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 Welcome aboard Jamboray. Its good to have comments regarding what the ex Hearts guys did including CL. Why did the Burls leave??? The pub I drink in have three NUTTERS of Hearts supporters and at the moment they are on cloud nine. Hope you can go all the way as it will be a gREAT celebration over here if you do. Mind you I can imagine what it would be like in Scotland as well. MadMick

Fear, caution, narrow minds and cos they love money and a position of power more than they love the game as a spectacle. Bring back Matt Gillies

No never been there. We have a couple of free Saturdays coming up due to not qualifing for the world cup may get myself down then. Do you think it will be ok if I wear my Hearts top?

There was an article in one of the papers yesterday from Mrs Burley <_< she claims she may have something to do with it as she did'nt get on with Romanov. Another story claims Burley was trying it on with Romanov's neice.
Babylon Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 Shouldn't be surprised if Babylon and some of the other fans are actually playing a replay as we speak just to drool over the highlights. Wow you should do stand up. Try to cheer up a bit Thracian, the suicide rate of FT members has gone up since you have started posting.
BenFilbert Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 Thracian: I'm very surprised with you. I used to agree with everything you said. What is wrong with the result at Preston? Nothing! We got a draw. Look at this: Brighton - Draw Derby - Draw Watford - Win Burnley - Lose Coventry - Win Cardiff - Win Preston - Draw That's good!

Yes but we didn't play like the 1970 Brazil team, it's just not good enough.

Nothing whatsoever to do with the fact that they are sitting at the top of the SPL
Jamboray Posted 31 October 2005 Author Posted 31 October 2005 good look in the spl skacel is class Yeh, he's a tremendous player, sheer class, however a lot of teams are eying him up at the mo. He seems to be enjoying the support he's getting from us but rumours are rife that he is off soon due to a fall out regarding Burley going. With the defence you have he would be an ideal addition to the Foxes, just don't tell CL.
Gené and Tonic Posted 31 October 2005 Posted 31 October 2005 Is he a winger or a proper striker? Any idea what he'd be going for?
Jamboray Posted 31 October 2005 Author Posted 31 October 2005 Is he a winger or a proper striker? Any idea what he'd be going for? He's a winger and on loan to Hearts at the mo, he plays forMarseille. The guy has great skills and speed. Bit shell shocked tonight on the announcement that the Cheif Exec and Chairman have gone, things are getting bad. It's been like this since CL left because of the previous Cheif Exec.
