MC Prussian Posted 11 January 2020 Posted 11 January 2020 Pretty shit. Southampton came for a revenge and we served it to them on a silver platter. Chilwell, Choudhury, Maddison, Barnes, Perez, Praet (apart from the goal). All anonymous. Midfield - gone. Back four - shaky. Pereira and Evans tried, but they can't carry it all. Vardy all alone up front again. We don't seem to learn, do we? Rodgers outsmarted by a manager at home again. No recipe against the pressing, only once the Saints' battery went low-ish, we tried to play some football. Very, very disappointing game. Absolutely embarrassing, in fact. In line with a couple of recent results. Newcastle away seems like the exception now.

Maybe a bit arrogant thinking we can just turn up after last time? Deffo a few tired legs out there today, passing has been poor last 4 matches. Hope this sparks a bit of life in the transfer activity
NaijaFox Posted 11 January 2020 Posted 11 January 2020 The BETTER team by some margin on the day won.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 11 January 2020 Posted 11 January 2020 Southampton deserved that. We missed Ndidi today. VAR needs binning... dominated that game completely. Let fans enjoy football ffs. Crazy it was only 5 mins added on, it took way longer than that.

Add to that players not knowing how to handle pressing at home (surprise!) and a manager not being able to implement tactics to counter that.
NaijaFox Posted 11 January 2020 Posted 11 January 2020 The starting lineup looked great but played crap! Perhaps time to give Mendy another look, and rest Barnes and Perez for a minute. I’m DESPERATE!
TMELcfc Posted 11 January 2020 Posted 11 January 2020 Too many issues today, but to name a few: - Tieleman's getting blamed during the week, when it was obvious every player was poor - same again today, woeful decision making all over the place - Shaky at the back for some unknown reason, given that we have a good defensive record - Wilf obviously makes a big difference - Plan A and Plan B still involve passing it out from the back, even when a team turns up and presses the hell out of you. Unless you have players of the quality of City or Liverpool to beat the press, why persist with it? - And who decided to play the 9-0 back again at the start? Whoever you are, quit immediately, you tit Two positives - should have been 6-1 - Still created enough chances to score, just didn't take them Still cannot believe we are in the top 4, unreal season, but many more performances like that, we won't finish there.
Lesta blue Posted 11 January 2020 Posted 11 January 2020 It wasn't just Ndidi we missed. We did not play well at all. Passing was wayward, every time we had an attack we gave the ball away. Everyone looked tired. Our creative players weren't performing. Madders looked injured and was uninspiring. Chilwell is going through a really rough patch for a few matches now. Think he definitely needs a rest. Time for Justin to step in.
