Anybody on here go to this game?..

My 2nd live match, Mike Stringfellow scored our winner.

On the way back to the tube station someone smacked me in the face and nicked my bobblehat and scarf!!...

Was it any of you lot?

If so, can I have them back.

Think it might be James Hill who was the culprit

Went there to the 1974 FA Cup 4th round game. Drew 1-1, Mullery scored goal of the season for them, Glover scored for us.

Previous round we had beaten Spurs and rumours were that a load of their fans would be there to seek "revenge". Remember a dart being thrown at their keeper, Mellor?

during the game.

After the match we went to our designated pick up point for the coach, Robinsons of Burbage, and it didn't turn up for ages - we were beginning to panic. Never did find out what

caused the delay.

Won the replay, then famously beat Luton 4-0, followed by Joe Waters double in beating QPR.

...and the semi final(s) were the start of my lifelong hate for those loveable scousers.

I was there aged seventeen with a friend who let me drive his Ford Popular on L Plates as had not yet passed my test.

Remember there star player Alan Clarke was out with an injury and was due to sign for us for a record fee of £150000 that summer - how times change !

Also recollect we could walk around the ground at half time as there didn't seem to be any segregation of fans. If the game was boring then the open side had views of the Thames.Always had a soft spot for Fulham and their fans , seemed a lovely family atmosphere.

Finally whenever I hear the John Fred  Playboy band playing Judy in Disguise with glasses it reminds me of the day playing loudly over the p a system - happy days.

I've said that a few times on here never had it backed up so glad you've said it as I was starting to think I'd dreamt it.

Edit meant this about Filbert St.

I remember Fulham being our bogie team so many games we seem to outplay them but lose to a late goal.

Also remember that open side against the Thames had flags of all the Tier 1 teams, when they got relgated they announced they wouldn't change them as they weren't planning on be in the 2nd Tier long, they weren't they got relegated down to Tier 3 :P
