  1. With the exception this year of the Europa Cup it is the only major trophy we are likely to win so I don't really know why you are constantly banging the drum about it being a worthless competition ? Supporters of my generation having had the disappointment of actually attending a losing F A Cup final would love to see us win it and have that on our role of honour along with the League Title and League Cups but maybe i am just an old romantic !
  2. Take the cup seriously an exit from the cup and still losing to Liverpool will I believe bring a downturn to the season.
  3. Agree I believe the two cups are our best chance this season and too stay in the mix for European football for next season.
  4. Your not the only fossil on here. Would go to the match if only I could remember where I put my car keys love πŸ€”
  5. Was at that game, we were three up in the first 15 minutes and looking like title contenders too. Loved the atmosphere of the grounds in those days. Queuing at the turnstiles and the smell of pipe tobacco and noisy p a systems churning out the current hits from the Stones and Beatles etc , happy days when winning didn't seem like the b and all it does today.
  6. Expect he is just playing Devils Advocate, can't imagine a real can would not like to see his Team win a Trophy.
  7. Get to the semis and let's see if some fans indifference changes, finish in a position to qualify for Europe or win a Trophy ? Difficult decision for a fan ?πŸ€”
  8. Cold Blow Lane - remember it well and also being surrounded by Millwall Fans so a bit hairy. Worse situation was the 5th round replay at Anfield when after the match we had all the windows put out in the coach by bricks thrown by the lovely home fans waiting for us on Scotland Road - other coaches had the same done to them. Quite poignant tho to think we were in the same Lepping Road end at Hillsborough for the semi that exactly 20 years later all those Liverpool fans would perish.
  9. I had just turned 18 and was at Anfield for our win in the fifth round and was convinced we were going to win the Cup but hey, have since discovered life is full of disappointments but would just love us to win the Cup before the grim reaper calls
  10. Just like me in 69 it didn't end well unfortunately πŸ˜ͺ
  11. Having been at the 69 Cup Final so would i
  12. Just be better things to do on a Sunday than watching that pile of !!!! Though.πŸ€”
  13. Would be ironic if cancelled after 2 points avoidably dropped at Palace.
  14. Hindsight is a great thing I know but maybe start with Vardy and Ndidi and rest later in the game although I do agree with Paul Scholes who has little time for this tiredness excuse and had played 60 games in a season in days gone by, and on worse pitches.
  15. Sitting in the cold waiting to come on surely has more chance of pulling a hamstring or muscle , either play for the first half or leave at home. I suppose a win at Newcastle is now required to vindicate his selection planning πŸ€”
  16. Go a goal down and we are stuffed, will just get picked off a la Mourinho.
